Chaos Merchant
Gideon Valehart never asked for anything grand in life.
All he wanted was money, comfort, and a mattress expensive enough to keep his spine intact past thirty.
But then the God of Chaos appeared on his couch — literally appeared — and informed him that Gideon had refused “three divine callings,” which was, apparently, “too hilarious to ignore.”
In the blink of an eye, Gideon was thrown into a world filled with monsters, magic, heroes, and… more work.
Now, armed with nothing but his intelligence, cynicism, and the greed of a man who charges even for giving his opinion, Gideon decides only one thing:
“If I’m getting kidnapped to another world against my will…
Then I’m getting rich. Filthy rich. I want a peaceful and safe life, and I’ll buy it myself.”
The God of Chaos, watching everything from afar, just laughs.
“This is gonna be fun. Or disastrous. Or both.”
Meanwhile, Gideon gathers a group of incredibly strong misfits who, for some reason, follow and obey him.
Or maybe they’re just scared of him.
Or maybe he manipulated all of them without noticing.
The possibilities are endless.
What matters is that, for Gideon…
Heroes save the world.
He saves his wallet — for the peaceful future he wants, even if he’s the only one living it.
