Chapter 6: Invisible Strikes
"[Heilig Bogen- Heilig Pfeil]" whispered Cedric as he launched three reishi arrows at high speed, towards a single Spider-Man target.
Spider-Man though he couldn't see the attacks, thanks to his spider senses he was able to dodge the first two arrows by taking a big leap into the air. While Spider-Man was in the air he tried to use his web-shooters to get mover, but he realized that he wasted his last cartridges of his web-shooters against the fight with the Black Cat.
In the air Spider-Man couldn't dodge, in the end, all he could do was see his knee pierced by something he couldn't see.
"Haaaaaa!!" yelled the spider man as he fell on the roof creating a small cloud of dust.
"Well I have to say I'm surprised even though I limited my power I didn't think you could dodge two arrows, your spider-sense is a very useful skill" stated Cedric moving in the direction of Black Cat giving his back to the unconscious Spider-Man.
Black Cat was watching the scene in shock, it all happened too fast and she couldn't understand what had hit Spider-Man.
Black Cat's body stiffened as a figure suddenly appeared in front of her. The figure was confused with the darkness, he was wearing a black hoodie and a black mask to avoid being recognized, the only thing Black Cat could see clearly were his crimson red eyes.
"How beautiful," I think Black Cat looking bewildered at the eyes of this mysterious figure that looked like two precious gems.
"I only helped you because I need a favor from you, so I expect you to help me, otherwise I will leave you like this, with the spider recovering soon, and given your condition I doubt you will be able to escape," Cedric said in a calm tone as if this did not concern him at all.
Upon hearing his words, the black cat turned her attention away from his eyes and thought about the situation she was in.
"Who are you? And what did you do to Spider-Man?" Black Cat asked calmly, thanks to her experiences as a thief, and managed to quickly adapt to the situation.
As for the two questions, they were the first that came to Cat's mind, the first because she was genuinely interested in this mysterious figure that appeared out of nowhere and managed to easily subdue Spider-Man.
The second question, on the other hand, was why since she had met Spider-Man she had felt attracted to him, which had soon turned into feelings, but now those feelings were fading over time, because he didn't seem to notice her feelings, but she still cared about him.
"Who I am doesn't matter, as far as Spider-Man is concerned he'll be fine in a couple of hours, his healing factor will do the rest" Cedric simply replies
"Ok I understand the situation I'm in, can you untie me so we can talk about this favor you want..." before Black Cat could finish speaking she saw a blue trail before the cobwebs were destroyed.
[Energy Absorption] + [Reishi Manipulation: Reishi Sword]
"I'm not afraid of you running away you're weaker than me so I have no problem chasing you if you run away, I put the spider on the ground because I didn't want to be disturbed and also a great annoyance to the people it fights with" Cedric stated simply while holding a particular ornate sword, resembling a Dadao, with a relatively long handle and a bird-shaped guard.
"Really amazing are you a mutant? Black Cat asked in wonder looking at the sword made of unknown energy.
"Yes, now let's continue with the favor I want, and very simple I know in the past you worked for some mafia bosses, so I'm sure you know some positions where they trade for drugs or weapons right?" asked Cedric simply.
"Yes I have worked there but I would advise you to leave it alone if you don't want to antagonize all the mafia organizations, they don't seem to get along but when they have a common enemy they show no mercy" replied Black Cat frowning at her words.
Cedric after hearing all of this was indifferent, he needed to raise money for the future and wasn't willing to change his plans for a couple of mobsters since he will have his hands full tomorrow.
"Not even the Avengers or the fucking Fantastic 4 do anything for fear of starting a war and endangering civilians" Black Cat stated losing her usual calm.
"I just need you to show me the places I'm not going to show myself and turn the whole city into a battlefield in exchange I'll give you 20% of the money," Cedric stated simply.
Black Cat was about to refuse but changed her mind when she heard the 20%, that immediately her eyes became like those of a cat.
"60" I affirm Black Cat with a small smile.
"20"
"45" answers Black Cat with her little smile that you could clearly see she was shaking.
"20"
"25" now you couldn't tell if it was a smile or something else.
"20%! Don't make me repeat it, don't make me say it a fourth time" said Cedric, tired of the game.
"YOU WIN 20%," said Black Cat surrendering, no one had ever said no to her, the boys at school would do anything to get into her panties.
"If you want more then prove to me that you are worth more than 20%, now if we are done we better get moving before the spider wakes up," said Cedric looking at the unconscious spider.
"Mh I don't have anything to prove, start following me instead," said Cat starting to run across the rooftops as she took one last look at the spider before turning around and continuing to run.
Cedric was behind her as he thought about everything that had happened, about Yhwach's powers. Being stuck in a crazy world like Marvel with cosmic beings as neighbors.
" This world from what I have seen now has some similarities to Earth 616. Then to resist it has all the cosmic beings that exist in the Marvel universe I need to increase my Reishi to a fairly high level. The soul gem! " As Cedric thought about all this, a crazy smile formed behind his mask that no one could see.
