Chapter 3: Chapter 3 - HANGING OUT OR DATE?
THE NEXT DAY:
I drove to M's house early, after receiving nonstop messages from the second that I opened my eyes.
I could tell she was freaking out, she thinks it's a date, even though they're just hanging out. But I didn't want to burst her bubble, so I just went with it.
As I reached the door and was about to knock it-it flung open, revealing Akemi, who couldn't stay still due to her excitement...
"You look like you've even a lot of candy today" I joked while laughing
"It feels like it too, but even better," she said with her smile growing larger.

After getting snacks, we headed to her bedroom, where I became shocked to see that all her clothes weren't scattered throughout her room.
Every time a cute boy or girl asks her out or asks to hang out, she gets paranoid and rummages through all her clothes, while scattering them everywhere.
"Why isn't your room messy?" I asked a little concerned by the sudden change
"Well, I became more mature," she said confidently with a smile
"WOW!!! I never thought the day would come" I said sounding dramatic
"But are you sure you wanna hang out with him, I mean, you barely know him, and what if he turns out to be a creep?" I asked concerned
"Come on, you have nothing to worry about, and plus we're hanging out in public, so I will be completely safe" she assured me
It made me feel a little bit less worried, but I was still a lot worried. Mostly because all of her past relationships didn't last long and I don't want to see her heart broken again.
"Come on, he's going to be here soon" she informed me, pulling me out of my head that was filled with concern.
"Ok, coming," I said while placing the snacks on the table

After 'M' got dressed into something pretty but casual, we hear a knock at the door...
"Can you check if it's him, I still need to put on my shoes"
"Ok"
I quickly walked to the door and opened it to see a man with blonde medium-length hair and light brown eyes. And he has on a white t-shirt with a black leather jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes but I couldn't tell what brand it was.
"Hi, is Akemi here?" he asked with a nervous smile
"You are?" I ask, knowing who he is, but 'M' didn't tell me his name
"Oh, I'm-"
Before he could finish he gets cut off by 'M'
"KENJI!!!" she greeted ecstatically
"Oh, Kenji this Aiko-my best friend, and Aiko this is Kenji" she introduced, as she walked in front of us
"Nice to meet you" I greeted as I extended my hand to him

After 'M' left with Kenji, I packed all my things, and headed home.

As I laid on my bed, I couldn't stop myself from smiling at the memory of texting Kaito...
Yesterday Night:
Suddenly I hear my phone ding and I pick it up to see a message FROM KAITO!!!
Aiko: Hi
------NEW MESSAGES------
Kaito: Hey
Aiko: hey😅
Kaito: wyd?
Aiko: nothing
Kaito: oh
Aiko: what about you?
Kaito: about to work out
As soon as I read those words, images of him shirtless and sweaty started to fill my head...
Aiko: you must have muscles😂
Kaito: I guess😅
We talked a little bit more after that but it was just simple questions about each other. So after we finish texting each other, I felt like I knew him a lot better. And I fell for him even more...
PRESENT:
As I snapped back into focus, I decided to text him...
Aiko: Hey
A few seconds later:
Kaito: Hey
Kaito: you didn't come today, Were your classes canceled?
As I read the text my heart skipped a beat, I can't believe he was looking for me...
Aiko: yes, they were canceled so I went somewhere
Kaito: Oh, so wh...
We talked a bit more, getting to know each other...
A few minutes later:
Aiko: I know right😂😂
Kaito: Do you want to eat lunch with me tomorrow?
OH. MY. GOD. did he just ask me on a date?, well not a date-date, but IT'S STILL A DATE!!!!
'Ok, calm down...play it cool'
Aiko: sure
Kaito: yay🥳
