Chapter 8: Elesium

Raven is controlling an 'A.I.' that has been living on this colony for ten years and when her sister Jane arrived with Anderson and Alec they heard the A.I. say words that made them feel like their hearts were squeezed.
"We are machines. Tools bereft of heart. We have lived here, yet were never alive. Let us die having lived." Alpha gives a dawn-tinged smile filled with endless kindness and creates a shield that covers the entire colony with an energy shield and falls to the ground lifeless but Jane Shepard catches the A.I. before she hit the ground.
"Foolish utterly foolish... Why would such a smart thing sacrifice it's own life for mere humans?" A Batarian was confused.
"..." Jane glared at the four eyed bastard.
"You're guess is as good as mine Barok." Raven walks slowly forward and touches the shield only to feel a repulse making her fly back. Raven repositions herself in the air and tilts her head at the shield.
"If you can't get through the shield you won't get your pay!" Barok snarled.
"..." Raven ignores the Batarian and slowly pushes herself through the shield and starts getting various burns across her body and passes to the other side.
"Good now find a way to take that shield down Ghost of Omega!" Barok grins.
"Silence, you glorified wad of trash or I'll squash you like a roach..." Raven blasts her aura giving a dizzy wave to the Batarians only the Alliance Military Personnel withstood it thanks to them also having aura.
"Who are you?" Jane secretly swipes blood and skin samples from the ground while Raven was threatening the aliens.
"..." Raven silently stares at Jane and closed her eyes, 'I knew this day would come... But I never thought it would happen so soon.' Raven sighs.
"Well?" Jane narrows her eyes and her pale red eyes get a glint to them.
'She's like a genderbent Qrow...' Raven responds by slowly unsheathing her sword as she stares at Anderson.
"I was on a time-limit last time. I'd like to see how you fair now that I have no worries." Raven 'vanishes' and reappears behind Anderson and already impaled his lower spine crippling him for life.
"Not so well, from the looks of it." Raven kicks his head so hard that there was a cracking sound.
Jane roars and her biotic storm flung Raven away effortlessly.
'Ugh... What the... hell... It doesn't matter if it's an Asari Matriarch that has lived for over 900 years no one should have biotics that powerful!' Raven looks up to seeing Jane approaching her menacingly. The ground turns black with every step Jane takes and the plants become mutated from the biotic energy.
"Impressive, I have not been this wounded since a decade ago when I was crippled from the waste down. It took three years to create a device that would allow me to move again... You are very efficient at administering pain... But pain is something I've learned to live with." Raven vanishes again and swings at Jane only for her blade to stop an inch away from her body.
'What the fuck!? Is this star wars or something!?' Raven retreats as she had sensed danger and sees a biotic explosion where she was a mere moment ago.
'There was no priming... So... she can create biotic explosions without having to use two biotic abilities in a row? That's just cheating! Then again... I shouldn't be accusing others of cheating.' Raven continues her fight and no matter how fast or close she got she couldn't land a single blow on Jane.
'Oh no... Is this the Mass Effect version of a Maiden? ...Mistakes were made.' Raven sighs.
"You cannot reach me, You will pay!" Jane roared and a blast of biotic waves were parried by Raven over and over again. The force of the waves sent Raven back five feet every single time and the only reason she hasn't been blown over is because of her genemods. Her feet have dug deep pits into the ground.
"Enough." Raven runs toward the robot and rips out the shielding generator and the shield falls down.
"NO!" Jane covers her arms with Biotics and uses CQC on Raven getting up into Raven's face preventing her from striking out with her sword. Raven elbows Jane in the face knocking her little sister's head backward and pulls out her [Ace of Spades X] in a quick draw and takes down the shields and punches Jane in the temple, making her little sister slam onto the ground.
"I expect the payment to be doubled. Dealing with a Maiden specifically the Summer Maiden was not a part of the deal. Pray that I do not alter the deal any further." Raven walks away.
"Crazy bitch..." Barok snarled. He knows better than to back out of a deal with the Akatsuki... There have been three instances where the Hegemony backed out of a deal only to have one of their colonies bombarded from orbit. Needless to say that they learned their lesson.

Crimson1997 I've tried multiple ways to write her past and I have come to the conclusion that I absolutely suck at writing the past of my characters... So I skipped all that and wrote this chapter instead.
