Chapter 2: Chapter 2
"God I'm so stupid." I groaned. I was curled in the old browning tunnel of an old playground that was a mile from school. Elyk and I found the playground when we became friends. Even though it was an unsafe place, we still played here. I soon started using the playground as a escape place. When I would get upset or angry I The playground became my fortress of solitude, my favorite place. "I shouldn't have gone to school today. I knew something bad would happen." Fresh tears streamed down my face. I curled into a tighter ball, using my backpack as a teddy bear as I cried again. I felt so cold and numb. I couldn't believe the fact that I'm a white and black magic user, but it would explain the dark thoughts that swarmed my mind.
My body shook as I tried to calm down. I was sick and tired of crying and my friends where probably going to come look for me at any moment now, so I had to calm down. My body began to relax and uncurl, my breathing began slowing down. My throat was raw from crying so much, and I would bet anything that my eyes where also red and puffy. I sighed gently as I put my backpack under my head.
"Lilun!! Where are you?!"
I jerked gently at the sound of my friend's voices.
'I knew they would come.' I thought as I looked out of the holes on the side of the tunnel. A good five feet away from my hiding space was Blaise, Damien, and Elyk with Kairu. 'Crap.' Kairu was more likely to find me then the others. Unless the stench of trash messed with his nose I was done for. I put my bag back on and quietly backed out of the tunnel. Since I couldn't see behind me I had no idea that there was a metal can there, until I kicked it down the slide. I flinched at the sound before bolting out of the tunnel and down the slide.
"Lilun! Wait!"
I ran as fast as I could-which wasn't very fast considering the fact that my legs felt like jelly. I barely made it to the edge of the sandpit when Elyk grabbed me around the waist.
"Let me go!" I screamed and squirmed around.
"No." Elyk said simply. His voice sounded like he had been crying. I stopped squirming and looked into Elyk's eyes. His eyes where wet with tears and slightly puffy from crying.
"Elyk…"I breathed.
"Lilun." Blaise, Damien, and Kairu trotted over to me and Elyk.
"Why did you run away?" Blaise asked, hands on her hips.
I looked at the ground. "Cause…"
"Cause why?" Damien questioned.
"Cause I felt like it okay." I snapped causing Damien to flinch. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you. I just…" I sighed. "Can you guys just hug me?"
Blaise smiled and shook her head before hugging me. Damien shook his head before hugging me as well. Kairu jumped onto Elyk's shoulder and proceeded to lick my face, a dogs way of a hug. Elyk, arms still wrapped around my waist, pulled me closer to his body. The fur on his jacket tickled my cheek causing me to giggle.
"Yay she giggled!" Blaise whopped. Everyone, including me, started laughing. I shook my head at Blaise, a smile playing on my lips. Blaise smiled back and placed a hand over my eyes. Her warm hand brought the swelling down and caused the numbness that had consumed my body to disappear.
"How bout we go to Lucky Restaurant guys?" Damien said. "My treat."
The group cheered, a free meal is the best meal after all.
Damien ruffled my hair. "Cheer up, no more tears."
"Yeah." Elyk and Blaise chipped in.
A big smile tugged my lips. "I know."
Elyk hugged me tightly, practically chocking me.
"Don't kill her. To much love is a bad thing." Blaise 'scolded'. A blush rose to both my and Elyk's face. This caused another rounded of laughter.
"Lets just go." Elyk grumbled.
Blaise and Damien walked ahead of me and Elyk, even Kairu jumped off his shoulder and trotted away.
"Gods they're so weird." I chuckled. I turned to Elyk and saw a look in his eyes that made my heart jump into my throat. "Um, we should um." I was suddenly at a lost for words.
"Lilun." Elyk said my name in such a breathy voice that I could barely hear it.
Before I could say one more word Elyk pulled me into a passionate kiss. I swear on my life that I head explosions go off in my head. My body felt as light as air, as if at any moment I would just float into oblivion. All too soon, the kiss ended.
"We should catch up with the others." Elyk breathed into my ear.
A shiver ran through my body, starting from the top of my head and ending at my…well, you know.
"Guys quit having mouth sex and hurry up!" Blaise yelled ruining the moment. Elyk and I let out a breathless laugh before running to catch up with the others.
When we got to the group Blaise pulled me a bit away from the guys.
"When we get to the dinner we are going into the bathroom and you are telling me everything."
A blush rose to my face as I nodded my head.
"Good." Blaise then pulled me back over to the guys, placing me right next to Elyk. The same shiver from before ran through me every time our fingers brushed.
*Lucky Restaurant, Ladies Room
"Okay young lady spill it, and don't leave a single detail out."
I shifted from foot to foot, suddenly very nervous. "Um well…we kissed."
Blaise wiggled her eyebrows. "Oh lala. And what was it like?"
The memory of the kiss flooded my mind causing my entire body to warm up. "It was amazing, my body felt as light as air. Nothing mattered anymore. I didn't want it to end. I wanted to stay like that forever."
Blaise sighed in happiness. "So sweet."
I smiled, a blush rising on my cheeks. "I know. I also keep getting this pleasure shiver now whenever I touch him."
"I get that with Damien."
Me and Blaise then started going back and forth about our technical love experience.
"We should probably go back to the guys now." I giggled.
"We should." Blaise linked her arm in mine. "When we leave this bathroom, that reeks of perfume, we leave with a higher sense of love."
"And reeking of perfume." I chipped in.
Blaise laughed. "Yes, and reeking womanly of perfume."
We laughed our way out of the bathroom and back to the table.
"We thought you two died." Damien said as we slid in. I was next to Elyk and Blaise was next to Damien.
"If we died who would make sure you guys wouldn't die of boredom?" Blaise asked.
"The girls on TV." Elyk said through a mouthful of bacon.
"And the girls on video games." Damien added.
"I can't believe you would say something like that." Blaise and I said at the same time in an 'offended' voice. We crossed our arms over our chest and turned our heads away from the boys.
"I'm sorry Lilun/Blaise." Elyk and Damien said together as they hugged us. Blaise and I sent a sneaky wink to each other as we hugged the boys back.
"Now let us feast!" I declared throwing my hands into the air like a king. The group cheered before 'feasting.' I looked at Blaise and she looked at me. We shared a silent giggle and a mental high-five.
'Job well done.' I thought as I ate.
*After Lucky's. Front steps of Lilun's house
"Thanks for walking me home Elyk."
Elyk shuffled from foot to foot. "You welcome." He mumbled. Elyk got closer to me. My breath caught in my throat as I stared into his eyes.
Elyk got so close to me that our noses where touching. "Elyk…"
We then pulled each other into a kiss. Elyk pulled me tightly to his body and I tangled me fingers into his hair. The same sensation as before ran through my body. I swear, if Elyk hadn't been holding onto me I would have floated off.
Elyk and I gently ended the kiss.
"I love you Lilun. Will you be mine?"
I threw my arms around Elyk's neck. "Of course. I love you too."
Elyk hugged me tightly before he let me go. "Goodnight Lilun."
"Goodnight."
We kissed one last time before I went inside.
Heart pounding and pulse racing I dropped my bag, kicked my shoes off, then raced up the stairs and into my room.
I whooped and cheered and jumped around. I was so freaking happy that not even my brother's angry, "Shut the fuck up!" could ruin the moment.
I turned the light off before jumping into bed and snuggling my pillow.
"Best day ever." I mumbled happily before yawing.
I was floating in a white room splattered with black, or a black room splattered with white, I couldn't tell. I was dressed in and angel's dress and even though my eyes where closed I knew that someone was in front of me.
'Open your eyes Lilun.' the person spoke, her voice sounded just like mine. I opened my eyes and let out a silent gasp. Floating in front of me was me but I looked way different. This Lilun was clothed in a demon dress and her eyes where a pale red. Her hair was jet black and her skin was snow pale
'Who are you?' I asked.
The girl smiled, her teeth where sharp and white. 'I am you, the darker you.' She floated closer to me, so close that our bodies touched. 'I am the you that resides in your mind, the one who speaks dark thoughts.'
'What would that make me?'
'The dream you, the one that resides here, is the light you. The light that resides in your heart. The light that completes the other half of your magic that I do not.'
'What's your name?'
'My name is Nulil, when you need me call my name in your mind.' Nulil touched my head. 'And I will lend you my powers.'
The world around us started dissolving. 'One last thing, that boy Elyk, he will be…'
'Be what?'
Nulil smiled her smile again. 'Till we meet again.'
I shot up in bed, panting and sweating. I stumbled to the light switch and flicked it back on. I stripped off my school clothes and pulled my pajamas on. I undid my hair before flicking the light off and crawling back into bed.
'When you need me call my name in your mind.'
I touched my head at the memory. A cold shiver ran through my body and I dropped my hand. I pulled my pillow closer to my head
"Elyk…" I mumbled to the darkness before falling asleep to the sound of the night that seeped in through my opened window.
This time, I didn't dream.
