I'd ask Katherine, who was sitting next to me.
"No, I don't want your lice all over my hair."

It's already been two days since we arrived in Paris. According to the information we got, she's somewhere in Paris.

I almost ruined my image right there. Good thing I could control my pervert side.
I'd sigh.
"Katherine-chan, we haven't been able to find this girl."
I'd say as I laid my head on her shoulder.
"We only just arrived yesterday, stop complaining."
She shoved my head away. I chuckled.
She's been displaying this cold attitude ever since we met, I want to see her cute side for once but she has her guard up 24/7.
Right now we are at a nightclub. We were able to enter with some fake id's that the saint association provided. We are currently staying at a luxurious 5-star hotel with a spa, pool, big bed, you name it. Though I wish it had a hot spring.
We only have enough money for a one-month stay, so after that, we're gonna have to wait for another transaction from the saint association.
I didn't mention this, but jobs like saving Daemons are actually the saint association's job. Katherine is a member of the saint association, and sometimes she asks for Lucy's or Aiden's help, but on the recommendation of Asami, I have to help with some, so here I am.

Where did we get off on the wrong foot?
I'd look over at Katherine, rubbing my chin, thinking.
I'd looked at the time on my phone. It was 8:00, almost sunset.

I'd start shuddering as I got flashbacks.
Hmm, what about wings though?
"So what would happen if I brought my wings out right now?"
I'd ask Katherine.
"Sadly, those are untouched by the mist so humans would be able to notice pretty quickly."
Well, that's a bummer.
"But since it's almost dark, we could fly in the air and scout to see if any monsters are around. Just don't go near areas with lights."
We walked towards the darkest area of the park.
"In an hour, we'll meet back at the hotel."
I'd nod my head.

Katherine's devil wings bursted out of her back. Then she flew up into the midnight sky.
I'd bring my wings out.

What kind of sound was that?
I'd turn around and look at my Draconian wings, which were engulfed in red flames.
"Well, that's going to be trouble."
Why?
Well, somehow my wings have flames on them. I don't know when I got them, but there are flames now. Looks like I won't be able to fly in the air now.
I looked around.
"Whew, glad no one's around."
My wings slowly withdrew into my back.
"Well, looks like I'm going to have to travel on foot."
I walked into the streets.
"..."
I fell down onto my knees. I was wheezing, taking deep inhales and exhales. I haven't dance in 2 years, that was pretty tiring.
Well then, since I don't have the high grounds, I'll just walk through the streets.
As I was walking through the streets, I wondered...
Maybe I can get onto the roof.
So I walked through the streets and looked for a fire escape.
"Maybe I can find a ladder hanging down somewhere."
And you know what happened next?
I found one.
Convenient.
So then I climbed up to the roof.
When I got up there—

There were a bunch of wolf-like monsters, all growling at me. They had fur the color of the midnight sky and glowing purple eyes.
I could already tell they would be bad news. Classic dark type monsters, black armor or fur, and dark purple eyes.
I'd count the wolves. There were six of them.
"I think I can take all of you at once."
I think...
My right arm started glowing.

[Ultima Blade: Scarlet Suffering!]
A red blade would appear in my right hand, it's radiated a bloodthirsty presence.
The wolves flinched away as soon as the Ultima Blade appeared.
I'd spin my sword and pointed it at them.
"C'mon puppies, I'll take you guys out for a walk."
The wolves responded to my provocation by pouncing towards me.
I swung my sword horizontally.

A huge gust of wind passed through the wolves. They then flopped onto the ground.
"Wow, looks like I actually can take them all at once."
I would suddenly gasp.
"Maybe it's the result of my training!!!"
Wait no, my stats were pretty bad. Maybe these monsters were just weak.
"Well then, I guess I should get scouting."
I starting walking along the ledge of the roof, spectating the streets.
An hour passed...
"Hmm... this is boring."
There isn't anything interesting except people walking along the streets. No sight of a blonde girl anywhere too.
"I should go back to the hotel, take a nice long bath."
I'd slide down the ladder, and at the bottom, Katherine was there waiting for me.
"Anything?"
She'd ask. I shook my head no.
"What about you?"
"I found a few people who might've been her. I have two primary suspects."
"Well then... what do we do next?"
"We'll take a rest and search for them tomorrow."
"Ok, lets head back to the hotel."
Guess she was able to find some people, unlike me.
Well, I did just stay in the same spot the whole time.

So then they traveled back towards the hotel. One of the two suspects that Katherine inspected was the girl they were looking for.
While they were going back, something else was happening in a warehouse...

There was blood scattered all over the wall and floor. Bodies all scattered all over the ground.

A man was smashed into the ground by an unknown figure. The figure stood up and looked around him.
"So... does anyone want to tell me where this girl is?"
The man held out a photo of a short blonde girl.
"If no one here is going to tell me, I'll just demolish this place then."
Bmmmm...
The figure made an energy sphere made of light in his right hand. There was a cross on his hand.
"No, wait!"
A man shouted. The figure turned towards the man, who was slowly rising.
"Finally, someone who knows. Well then, care to tell me? If you do, I'll spare everyone here."
"Sh-she is at the hospital."
An evil grin appeared on the figure's face.
"Why thank you..."
"So will you spare everyone here?"
"Of course..."
"Well, that's go-"
"If you can survive this, that is."
"Huh?"
Then the ground and the walls started emitted a purple glow.
"Wha-?"
"Good luck."
The figure said as wings sprouted from his back.
FLUTTER!
The man had a terrified look on his face. This figure had wings, wings as dark as a raven's.
This figure was a fallen angel, an angel expelled from heaven.
"Au revoir."
The fallen angel said as he flapped his wings, breaking through the roof.
The man fell onto his knees as the building grew brighter and brighter.
