Chapter 2: Magic

(Normal POV)
Arkwright Family mansion, inside a big library. Inside you can see a kid reading books.
"Finally I can start reading about magic now. Maybe I can practice too" The kid, William muttered.
The book he is reading is a book about the basics of magic. It includes practices to improve mana quality and control.
Magic in this world is pretty simple as it just involves elemental magic and no other complicated magic like gravity, flying or stuff like those.
After confirming what affinity they have, their practice then starts. For the basics they need to practice elemental sequencing first, this practice will be their foundation.
This practice helps in their control of their elements. Next is mana control to minimize their consumption of mana. And then they practice some spells from books.
Those books are sold though only common magic spells are there. The truly powerful spells are those secret or heirlooms of some ancient families.
Anyway at the age of 3, children are tested to see what their elemental affinity is which will determine what magic they can use. Though not all people have affinity or not suitable for elemental magic. In fact 1 out 10 people, 1 are those that has affinity.
Though the chances are also affected by their bloodline or inheritance. For those who has no affinity to an element they can still use mana to reinforce or enhanced their body using their mana.
Those people then becomes soldiers of their country. The rankings for mages are basic, intermediate, advanced, archmage, mage king, mage emperor, mage saint, and finally mage god.
Though some mages don't just focused on magic they also train in various weapons. Some even incorporate magic in their fighting styles, with martial arts etc. They can be classified as magic warriors which is further split into sub types like, magic swordsman, magic archer , etc.

(William POV)
Finally, done reading. I want to try magic, I'm so excited. Okay first let's start with a simple spell. According to mother, I have 4 elements: Fire, Wind, Lightning, and Ice.
They said I should just focuse on 2 elements to master because it would be hard to master 4 different elements. Haha Luckilly I have a super growth skill, I only need to work harder to master the four. I should also train my body too, but let's not get distracted.
Okay, I will try some low-level spells first. Let's start with wind as it is not destructive as the others.
"[Wind ball]" Woah, amazing I succeeded. On my hand there is a basketball sized ball made of wind.
Wait, this looks like rasengan. Maybe I can recreate that later. Anyway I succeded but I can feel I used quite a bit of mana to try this spell.
I should probably train in my mana control first. Also elemental sequencing, I need to practice this two so my foundations are sturdy.
I need a strong foundation to become stronger. Yes, I've decided I will practice this two to the limit, with my super growth skill I can probably do that.

(Normal POV)
After, William succeded in his first spell. He called a maid to carry the books he need to his room.
Why does they have a maid, you're wondering? Well, his family the Arkwright family is an ancient mage family as well as an influencial and powerful force even on the global scale.
The world he is living in currently is still earth but 2x larger, meaning continents double in size than previously. There's also new continents and different powerhouses.
For example, the country he is currently living is called Federation. It is the strongest country currently. It's territory encompasses the whole Europe continent including some parts of Asia mainly the whole Russia.
There's also other powerhouses like GAU (Great Asian Union) made up of all countries on Asian continent. Or NSAA (North and South American Alliance) Composed of the countries of north and south american continents. Although theres more too, but that's for later.
