Chapter 3: Chapter 3 - A proposal

A champion. For Noah, it sounded more like a fantastical concept, straight out of a manga or comic book.

"But well, here I have a supposedly fictional character, talking to me like nothing," Noah muttered.

"That's a bit rude, to call me a fictional character," said Azazel.

"Could you not read my mind?"

"Cannot, it's part of my nature, you see," Azazel replied.

Noah sighed and stood up, locking eyes with Azazel.

"I more or less can guess what is going to happen next."

"So I am going to be straightforward."

"The answer is no," Noah declared.

Azazel looked at Noah, a smile playing on his face, as if he anticipated Noah's response.

"Interesting, most humans would agree in a second."

Noah stood quiet for a couple of seconds before looking back at Azazel.

"Justice will always come."

"What?" Azazel raised an eyebrow.

"That was what my sister always said," Noah continued. "No matter how many times, Dad hit her or Mom insulted her, my sister always smiled back at me and told me that justice will always come."

"Even..."

Noah's voice cracked as he remembered his sister.

"Even with all the crap she had to go through, she cared for me the most. She took care of me, defied our parents, and was even expelled from the church she always loved, all for my sake."

Noah's tears ran down his face as he kneeled on the ground.

"We left with nothing, and even so, she never stopped smiling. She worked day and night so I could eat, even to the point that her body started to crumble. Nevertheless, she always thought that we would get our justice. That was the kind of person she was."

Noah's fist started to bleed as his eyes filled with anger.

"And all for what!? When I finally was able to repay my sister, she was killed by a damn drunk girl who had everything in the world! WHERE THE HELL WAS MY JUSTICE!?"

Noah punched the floor with all his might.

"Just because her dad was a judge, she only suffered 6 months in jail until she got out for good behavior! Are you kidding me!? Six months!? Even people who don't pay their taxes stay more time! THERE WAS NO JUSTICE! MY SISTER WAS WRONG!"

Noah repeated it.

"I don't know what you want from me, but I don't care. I don't care about a world where there is no justice. A world without her. So let me die. Let me die already," Noah said.

Azazel looked at Noah, who was crying like a baby, with the same indifferent smile.

"And what if I tell you… that your sister's death…"

"Was not an accident?"

Noah stopped crying and looked back at Azazel.

"What did you just say?"

"I said, your sister's death wasn't an accident," Azazel replied.

With a move of his hand, the scenario changed once more. This time, it shifted to what seemed to be a field. Three figures stood there, with small white wings and halos.

Noah wasn't surprised by their appearance. What shocked him was when one of the figures turned around. It was a woman, a woman he recognized.

"Big sis…?" Noah uttered.

It was Noah's big sister.

"BIG SIS!" He shouted.

In a split second, the scenario ended, and Noah found himself once again in front of the starry night.

"What you saw is a planet known as 'Paradise,' where your sister is," Azazel explained.

"A planet?"

"She was rescued by one angel just before her soul left her body, and he saved her after everyone thought she was dead."

"An angel? You mean…"

"You are right; she became a champion," said Lucifer.

The face of Noah changed, a smile appeared on his face.

"You are alive, you are alive, you are alive!!" Noah shouted.

"Mmm… I wouldn't celebrate so early," said Azazel.

"What?"

"She is in quite the predicament."

The scenario changed once more, revealing Noah's sister in front of seven figures with wings. Unlike before, she had long hair, and her emerald eyes had changed to red.

"Fallen champion, Alice AfterLife, you have betrayed the heavens and allied yourself with the demons. For that, you will be sentenced to the prison planet Aztoreth!"

With a move of his hand, the body of Alice disappeared, leaving nothing but ashes.

However, just before disappearing, a tear dropped from Alice's face.

"I am sorry, little bird."

"NOOO!" Noah shouted.

"As you see—"

"Where is it!?"

"Huh?"

"Where is planet Aztoreth!?" shouted Noah.

Azazel couldn't help but smile at the sight of Noah. The scenario changed back to the starry sky.

Azazel looked at Noah's eyes, filled with wrath.

"Gotcha," thought Azazel.
