Have you ever felt that way?
The world feels cold and all you want to do is cry?
And even if it hurts, you'd want to cry all day
Because no matter what, you'd always know why.
When you lay in bed with tears in your eyes
Each breath you take seems to suffocate you
When your head is filled with nothing but lies
And all you need to hear were the words, "I love you".
When you feel your head ache from the tears
From all the pain you've been hiding for years
All of the sorrow and all of your fears
Of which no one cared to listen to with their ears.
When you can't speak of your pain
All you could do is lay as you weep
With tears flooding your eyes like rain
And heart aches as it continues to drown so deep.
The world won't always treat you right
The people you look up to can smack you down,
But you can stand up and fight
Or you can sob and let yourself drown.
