Chapter 5: Chapter Five
Two months later...
Siara sighed as she saw a few stack of papers in her work table. These two months has been hell for her as her boss took vacation for a month last month, leaving her with reschedule meetings and reports from every division in the company. She even has to represent for the company at some events that has been held. She began to think that she was the boss now.
She slumped to her seat feeling tired because her overtime work last night. When she rested her head for a bit, her door office flung open wide.
"Siara, don't forget we've got a meeting in fifteen minutes." Her foreigner boss, Nick, chirped in.
She groaned, "Shit, I honestly forget about that."
"Well, now you remember, get to work please." Her boss look amused.
"Oh, I hate you."
"Feelings mutual." He flashed a smirk and left her.
After a few minutes Nick left, she began to gather everything she needed for the meeting. Siara saw a man came in with the company receptionist beside him as the receptionist guided him to the meeting room. She guessed it was one of her boss client. She looked to her watch, five minute earlier than he should have. Siara began walked to Nick's office room and informed him that the client has arrived.
Even though her boss was in mid-forties, he still looked gorgeous as hell. Blonde hair, combed neatly. His twinkle blue eyes. Perfect cheek bones and sharp jaw. But she never once fell for him because she knew that would be inappropriate. She walked behind Nick as they stride to the meeting room.
"Good morning, Mr. Xavier." Nick greeted him.
The man, around thirties, rose from where he sat. "Oh, I'm sorry I'm Mr. Xavier assistant, Andrew Grey. Nice to meet you."
"Ah, nice to meet you too." Nick extended his hand and Andrew took it, shook their hands, "This is my personal assistant, Ms. Aurelia."
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Aurelia." Andrew said.
"Likewise, Mr. Grey." She replied him with a smile.
"Please take a sit." Nick gestured with his hand, "So I assume Mr. Xavier can't come today?"
"Oh, he should be in here right now. I'm sorry his flight from London was delayed, so he came late for this meeting." Andrew reasoned.
Nick shook his head and smiled, "It's okay Mr. Grey, as long as he can still show up."
Siara just stared at them. Her mind came to a daze as Andrew mentioned about London. Her head clicked to the man she had sex with, two months ago. She missed Jonathan. She missed his touch. And adding to her misery, both of them forgot to exchange number or email. Now she never knew how was he nor she know where was he. He once told her about came back and forth London - Bali, but she never really knew his schedule was.
She unsure how was her feeling towards Jonathan. It's not some kind of love she had with Julian, his ex whatever-the-relationship-was. It was far from that. But she felt a great connection with him, especially when she had sex with him. It felt right with him.
While Nick and Andrew still had their conversation, she fell silent until she heard the meeting room door came to open.
"Sorry I'm late." all well-known voice came to her ears.
She shot her head back to saw a man she would've never guessed. Siara gasped as she saw Jonathan came to her view. Her mouth flew open. He still hot as hell with his dashing stripe suits, leaving her breathless and speechless.
"Ah there he is, Mr. Jonathan Xavier." Andrew exclaimed.
"Finally, I have the opportunity to meet the man." Nick extend his hand to Jonathan, "I'm Nicholas Brentley."
Jonathan accepted his hand, "Jonathan Xavier. Pleasure to meet you."
Jonathan took a sit beside Siara. He done it on purpose as she still felt stunned to saw him in here, in the flesh.
"And this is my personal assistant, Ms. Aurelia." Nick introduced.
Jonathan flashed a devil smirk to Siara, made her trembled in her seat. "Yeah, I already met her."
"Really?" Nick looked surprised, as well as Andrew, "How so?"
"She helped me found happiness in Bali," Jonathan's eyes bore to Siara's petite form, "a lot."
