Chapter 4: Banquet
The night went by quickly and in a flash, the sky was filled with the colors of the day. And at that moment, a sound could be heard coming outside of Ji Yun's room.
"Young master, it's daytime, time to get up!". came the obviously female sound.
Hearing the sound, Ji Yun slowly opened his eyes and he climbed down from his bed.
Yet at this time, the door was opened, and a girl around the age of 16 came walking in carrying a small serving tray in both hands with a basin on it. Rolled around the basin was a new clean and tidy towel meant for him to wash his face with. The other tray had also another basin for Ji Yun to wash his teeth in to prepare himself for the day
"Qu He, thank you for your troubles." Looking at the 16-year-old girl. This girl was Qu He, which his grandfather brought him yesterday.
"Young master, it's my duty. No need to be so polite to me".
"Qu He, can you teach me how to read and write. I want to learn about the languages so that I can read books to improve my language and knowledge." Ji Yun asked Qu He. Later was astonished to hear it from a 3-year child, speaking about language and knowledge.
"Yes, Young master absolutely. But, I need language learning books to teach you, which will help you to understand easily. I will go and prepare the required books. Young master please get ready soon and go downstairs your grandfather is waiting, to have breakfast with you".
'Ok' replied Ji Yun and began getting ready.
When he came downstairs his grandfather was already sitting in a dining table going through some papers. Seeing Ji Yun came down, his grandfather tidied up the papers and getting ready to eat.
Both Grandson and Grandfather began enjoying their breakfast. While Ji Kongyun began talking to Ji Yun "Tonight, we are holding a celebratory banquet at the Earth-moon Hall. I only invited the member's of our family, so you just need to show them your face. Mainly your second and third grandfather and uncles will come. There are some performances I especially prepared for you hahaha so you will enjoy them".
The day was soon over as everybody was busy preparing for the banquet. All the Ji Family members were busy preparing for tonight's banquet. Streets were occupied with the carriages as they all went towards the Earth-moon hall. With all the various carriages lined in front of the hall, all the various elders and members gathered with gifts, to celebrate the clan master grandson's recovery.
Earth-Moon Hall,
Many gasped at the scale of this banquet. The banquet was held at the Earth-moon hall and one could see that the Ji Kongyun really held his grandson in high regard. The hall was decorated beautifully with silk embroidery, wine glasses could be seen all around as presented to the guests. The finest dishes were brought out with rare and tasty beast ingredients in beautiful designs were presented to the guests.
Ji Yun and his grandfather also boarded the carriage and went to the Earth-Moon hall. When both Ji Yun and Ji Kongyun entered the hall. Ji Yun also stunned but the scale of the banquet that his grandfather prepared.
With the arrival of the both Ji Yun and Ji Kongyun, there was a huge silent as many shifted their attention to the newly arrived Ji Yun with miracle recovery. Everyone was astonished by the Ji Yun's health. Because 2 years before they heard its nearly impossible for Ji Yun's recovery but now he was standing in front of everyone with perfect health. Many came forward to congratulate both Ji Kongyun and his grandson.
His Grandfather begun to introduce the important members of the family to him like his second grandfather, third grandfather and their sons. Then Ji Yun went and sat on his seat to enjoy the performance.
There had been fascinating performances, with musicians, drummers, and fighters, fur-clad female dancers filling the hall. This was very different from Earth's performances, but it was still very pleasing to the eye.
His Grandfather sat on his chair as he was enjoying the wine as he talked and laughed loudly among the various elders and enjoying the performance.
Ji Yun also very much want to enjoy the wine, because he wants to know, how its different from earth. But now he was only a 3-year-old child so he has no choice but to control his urge.
Soon 2 hrs passed by, the elders were the first to respond by congratulating and leaving the gifts to the maids and begun to leave. After that more than half the people begun to leave, with the rest quickly one by one returning to their own places as well, leaving the Earth-moon hall empty. Finally, Ji Yun and his grandfather also went to their mansion to sleep.
The night went by quickly, and when the second day came, the Qu he arrived at his room by carrying 2 -3 books size of a pillow and began to teach him to read."
And from that day onwards, Ji Yun started earnestly studying how to read. Since he retained some mental strength and knowledge from his memories of the past. Learning the written language of this new world was not all that difficult. Combined with the Qu He who was teaching him as well as his amazing memorization capabilities who knows how he got, learning to read was extremely fast and easy for him.
In just a short span of two months, he had already mastered the most basic words of the Sky continent.
Ji Yun's learning rate had made the Qu He exclaim in astonishment. Because when she starts learning it took her 1 and half year to completely learn everything. While geniuses take 1 year to complete. Immediately after Ji Kongyun had learned that he had learned most of the written language in two months, he couldn't believe it. In the end, he had put Ji Yun in a test before he could accept the fact.
"Let your Grandfather give you a reward; since you have learned to read in these past two months, I don't know what reward you would want though." Ji Kongyun's face contained a smile as he looked down at Ji Yun as he spoke. Having such a genius for a Grandson, he was extremely proud of himself and cared for him.
Hearing this, Ji Yun's eyes brightened and thought for only a few seconds before responding, "Grandfather, I want to go to the library and read some of the books there so I can get some experience and learn even more."
Ji Kongyun's eyes brightened as he looked at Ji Yun and with a loud laugh, he said, "This is no problem at all, Ji Yun. I approve of your request, the library will be free to you whenever you desire."
Ji Yun's face exuded a happy expression. Because then only he can understand the type of world the black door put him in.
Qu He already knows the location of the library a long time ago, because the books she borrowed about language learning came from the library. It was some distance away from his family's mansion in a large building.
As Ji Yun made his way towards Ji family's library, Ji Family had many direct descendants, but not many people were heading toward the library. So the only people Ji Yun had seen were the guards that protected the area and almost no other clan member.
Ji Yun quickly reached the doors to the library door, before stopping to lift his head up to see the extremely large board hung above the doors of the building. The words "Ji Library" were written.
After opening the door he walked inside the library, a narrow corridor entered his eyes. It was daytime on the outside, and the light shined down beautifully, leaving a sight like none other. On the walls of the corridor, a shiny white crystal was hung every corner of the library and gave off a light to the whole library.
The length of the corridor was quite short, before finally splitting into two paths. Ji Yun estimated that both paths followed a different room. When he was looking around the library an elder came out from the shadows slowly walking towards Ji Yun.
Ji Yun turned around after hearing this, since the light in the bright, he could clearly make out the appearance of the figure. It was an elderly figure with white hair and wrinkles all over. Wearing a white robe that was devoid of any other colors and relatively normal looking.
After seeing Ji Yun appearance clearly, the elderly figure smilingly said:" Young master, must be Ji Yun, your grandfather informed me you will visit the library, you are only allowed to visit the general section of the library". Saying this elderly figure pointed at the corner section of the library.
"Thank you elder, for informing me, may I know your good name," asked Ji Yun.
"You can call me Elder Zian. Now go and busy yourself." said elder zian and left.
Then Ji Yun went to the general section pointed by the elder zian and begun to excitedly read, to know about the world he came into.
