Chapter 13: Chapter 13 Physical Education
Marconi was a bit slow as all the gym teacher's filled up so he had to go to the auditorium. In the auditorium a few drill instructors started to yell out a speech
"The main part of education is being PHYSICAL. The word PHYSICAL is BEFORE EDUCATION. As such I expect all of you to be PHYSICAL.
In other school's, it's stretches, the mile, fun activities, and maybe some sex-ed. Here at the opportunity academy of everything I promise you we will be PHYSICAL.
Now everyone, I expect you to be constantly moving in these 50 minutes, jumping jacks, in place walking, or jumping. Whatever you do you will move or I will make you move now everyone start MOVING."
Marconi starts to do some jumping jacks, he sees a few kids in the back not moving. The female drill instructor closest to them put a finger to her ear, she seems to be wearing an earpiece.
"You lot in the back, give me 5 laps, around the auditorium. Otherwise you'll be having a fun run to the principal's office. Emphasis on the fun." They start running. At this point everyone's moving.
Marconi sees a poor large chubby girl from the office supply store struggling. He starts to go over, she's surprisingly quite athletic as she starts some jumping exercises.
Then the drill instructors start demonstrating some stretches, "ok good warm up. Keep moving while we demonstrate some stretches. We'll only be repeating ourselves once, so listen and watch closely."
While they demonstrate kids start to walk up to get a better view. At this point Marconi is behind the large girl. She starts to move to the stage as well. A huge crowd starts to form.
The large girl uses her body mass and starts running at the crowd to get to the front. Marconi follows behind. Seeing this large girl start running a few poor kids get in the way and fly out of the mosh-pit.
This earns the recognition of that female drill instructor and they pull her over to give one on one instruction. Marconi being behind her follows her like a shadow. He too observes their stretches and continues on.
There are 10 minutes left of class. The drill instructors start to announce, "last 10 minutes double time. It is my job to make sure you're tired otherwise we'll be handing out special passes exempting you from advisory and you can stay here an extra fifty minutes. I want the room to smell of sweat. I want the temperature to increase by two degrees. Now start exercising."
A few kids in the middle decide to get smart and do some mountain climbers, but really slowly. The drill instructors seems to hear something and start heading to the locating with a stack of pink slips. "There's always a few", Marconi hears a nearby drill instructor announce.
Marconi starts to run around with a few packs of students. 10 minutes finish and class is over. "Finally", Marconi thinks. He then heads to his advisory class. Luckily it's close to the auditorium and he gets a starred teacher on the map.

Michael_v1 The whole physical education idea came from a movie where the coach emphasized to the team the importance of being a STUDENT athlete. the word STUDENT comes before athlete just as grades comes before sports practice. So yeah.
