Chapter 3: High Rank Spiritual Counterpart

"Liang Yan?" Liang Heyun was surprised. She had never expected that there was someone with a name...so close to her. They had the same surname, but different given names. However, it wasn't what she was wondering about.

She was wondering what Mr. Lee meant by 'getting' Liang Yan.

"Mr. Lee, what do you mean?" Liang Heyun asked, "I don't have 'Liang Yan'. I don't own a person, or a pet." She was confused. The name sounded familiar, but she still didn't understand what Mr. Lee meant by her 'getting' Liang Yan. She didn't get a dog or a cat or even a goldfish by the name 'Liang Yan'.

"Let me tell you girl, Liang Yan is powerful, do not play with her powers!" Mr. Lee's handsome eyes narrowed.

Liang Heyun froze as Mr. Lee grabbed his coffee mug before walking away, probably making coffee again. When Liang Heyun snapped out of her little stupor, she noticed that Mr. Lee was not there anymore. She quickly remembered that she had Art Class and immediately ran towards one of her favourite classes.

The Art teacher was also equally handsome, however, many said that he already had a fiancee. His name was Mr. Zhang and he specialized in both Art and Crafts. His works were recognized by people worldwide and his technique was even praised by professionals. Mr. Zhang was a one in a million genius.

Although Liang Heyun didn't think much about it, as she was already apathetic to the word 'genius'.

So what?

Sometimes, geniuses suffer more than normal people.

"Get onto your seat everyone!" Mr. Zhang was Liang Heyun's favourite teacher. Especially the fact that Mr. Zhang was really kind and gave her guidance. Liang Heyun admired teachers that did not flaunt their seniority, and Mr. Zhang was at the top of that list.

Mr. Zhang turned on the private computer he got from the school and showed them a video before explaining their tasks. Liang Heyun excitedly listened as she occasionally took notes. Their project was actually pretty simple, at least it was what Liang Heyun thought. Her classmates, who weren't a fan of art (mostly there due to Mr. Zhang and school regulations) would complain from time to time because it was hard for them. The only thing Liang Heyun was frustrated about, was the fact that she had little to no black paint, and she planned on using quite a lot of black in her project.

'I'll have to buy more soon...,' Liang Heyun thought, writing it on her sketchbook before leaving Art Class. As the explaining took so long (students are kind of confused by what the teacher meant by using photoshop to make manual art), Art Class quickly passed. Liang Heyun could feel Mr. Zhang's stares, and those stares felt similar to what Mr. Lee gave her.

She started to think that her school was getting weirder by time.

Fillia was free during lunch, so they sat together. Liang Heyun was glad that Fillia was free, because people say that Fillia had a 'sixth sense'. If Filla really did have a 'sixth sense', then she would be able to help her. Liang Heyun was elated when Fillia agreed to sit with the seniors during lunch.

'Fillia, I'm eternally grateful to you!'

They ate in silence, which was normal. Other than the occasional clanking of spoon and plate, there were no other noise. Some students brought their own meals, some students bought from the cafeteria. Her school's cafeteria, although it couldn't be called 'high-class', was not that bad. Especially its range of food. They had food from almost every place in the world, especially Asian food. The Japanese food section was the students' favourite.

Liang Heyun wished that she could buy some food but her family's strict conditions wouldn't allow her to. In the end she just kept her card back into her wallet, and put it on her tray.

The school was quite exquisite. Brown food trays made of wood, and it was not just cheap wood. At least Liang Heyun knew that much. Her family wasn't poor, yet wasn't all that rich either. She knew which wood can be acquired by her family, and which couldn't. The wood used for the food trays were relatively expensive. Liang Heyun was thankful that she earned a scholarship to study in this school.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" after finishing their food, Fillia asked. Fae, as usual was beside Liang Heyun while Revy sat beside Fillia.

"Mr. Lee...said that I had someone named Liang Yan, do you know who they are?" Liang Heyun asked.

"Liang Yan?" Fillia seemed to be thinking for a while, before she said, "Aaron said that Liang Yan is your Spiritual Counterpart, he couldn't dig deeper because her rank is the same as his."

"High rank Spiritual Counterpart?" Liang Heyun couldn't help but exclaim.

"Actually, let me tell you something," Fillia said, "don't you know that Liang Yan was a rare type of Spirit? She's not a Guardian Spirit and not a Resentful Spirit! She's an Intelligent Attached Spirit! You've hit the jackpot!"

"If you want to get her, you only have a one in a million chance!"
