Chapter 17: Playing Around With Senior Adventurer
"A 4-star adventurer wanted to duel a newcomer? What a bully!"
Some of the crowd can be heard saying their protests. Nonetheless, they still watch the show and even joining in on the bet.
After confirming that no one want to add in the bet anymore, Althea announce the rules of the duel.
"No one can kill the others. Duel ends if one of the combatants can no longer fight or they surrender. Everyone understood?" – Althea
"Yeah." - Louge
"Easy, easy" - Ranata
Receiving the nod and confirmation from the duelists, it is Lumina's turn to announce the start of the duel.
"Then, the duel…. Begin!" – Lumina
While the two girls make way and joining the crowd to watch the situation, Louge has readying his stance while looking at his enemy's appearance and making assessment about him.
[His appearance is frail and he didn't seem to carry any weapon…. He seems more like a magic user than a warrior, then. He also seems too relaxed and full of opening. This youth is truly a novice….] - Louge
Ranata currently only wear his clothes from the previous world under the robe he donned after he got it from the robbers while he is crossing his hands on his chest and making an easy going smile, like a child who is going to play with his friends. He didn't take out any weapons from his storage and continue just standing there and wait for his enemy to make the first move.
[Well, looking at our stats, its clear this is going to be easy. Lets just take it easy and play around a bit] - Ranata
Of course, if Louge were to know the source of his enemy's easy going attitude and what's on his mind, he would feel like puking blood. Just who is he? A 4-star adventurer! One of the peak power in this town! And a novice who was just joining in the Guild didn't even give him an eye. He began to use earth magic and unleashed his signature move, making a golem made from dirt and stone. Its height is 2 meter and it has a bulky body. It immediately run to Ranata and approaching him while stretching out its fist to punch him right in the chest.
[Hmmm…. So Earth Magic can be used like that. Making Golem, interesting.] – Ranata
When the golem's fist is about to hit his chest, it suddenly exploded and the golem is pushed back by the explosion while it's arm has crumbled to dust.
"What!? What happened? My Golem is exploded!?" – Louge
Not only Louge, even the crowd surprised. The beautiful man on the other side of the dueling ring is just standing there crossing his arm while the golem is approaching him before suddenly its arm exploded and turned to dust. No one comprehended what happened, even Althea and Lumina don't know what happened. Although of course, the two girls is not surprised and keep their calm.
Ranata was just using wind magic to make a barrier and compressed the air surrounding him when he see the golem approaching. When its fist is about to hit him, he collided it with the compressed air and making it burst out, exploding the golem's arm and turned it into smithereens.
[Now then, what will he do? If this is all the trick he know, then this will be very disappointing.] – Ranata
After he calmed down from his surprise, Louge aware that his enemy is just going easy. Infuriated and didn't want to accept this situation when he would be losing, he is going all out and utilized all his magic to make three new golems.
Dust and dirt gathered together and make a form of a 2 meter tall human. Unlike the first golem, their fists is covered with metal scraps and it seems that it has been strengthened. The golems spread around and coming up to Ranata from the front, left and right. As for the previous golem that its arm has been exploded, it burst out and shot up the scattered boulders raining on Ranata.
Seeing a rain of rocks closing on him, while three metal fist golems approaching him, he jumped out from the area of rain, evading the rocks and lands on the head of the golem in front of him. Applying pressure from his power and his weight, he makes the golem he landed on unable to move. The pressure he gives out make it bends its knees and kneels on the ground. The golems from its left and right turned around and stretch their fist to hit Ranata who is standing on the head of a golem in the middle of them. Ranata jumped out to evade the fists and let go of his pressure. The golem he was standing on then straighten up but get hit by the other two on the head and falls down.
Ranata make a somersault in the air and gracefully land on the head of the golem on the right. His gesture is like a Goddess descending from the Heaven, captivating all the crowd who watches their fight.
The battle continues, the golem that is getting hit earlier stand up and approaching him together with other golem to Ranata who stand on the head of another golem. Then the scene from before replayed again. The golem is hit on its head while he jumped out and now lands on the golem on the left. This continues on and repeated. The golems hit each other in the head and staggered.
Louge who watch all of this is flabbergasted. All three of the golem under his control is getting played around easily by a brat. This is his ultimate technique! By making three golems as frontiers, he usually can defeat his fellow 4-star adventurer with ease. It's because the fight becomes like a 4 vs1, in which the golem fight in front, attacking the enemies while protecting him who controlled them from behind.
It's supposed to be perfect! But this! Isn't the beautiful man in front of him truly making fun of him? He just jumped around, evading all of their attacks and leading them to infighting. And his expression! He is just like a kid who is having fun ridiculing the others and making pranks on him!
Enough! This is obvious. He is just playing around and making fun of him in front of all the crowds who are watching on their duel!
