Chapter 23: traveling
sitting back in the carriage thinking about what happen I visualizemyself with my origin qi, as i explore the changes within me. i start with my skin and seem fairer then every. a queen fairy among fairies. my hair grew long enough to touch the back of my knees. growing as dark as the void but soft to the touch. looking deeper at my well shaped muscle. they looked like they were sculpted by the gods themselves. I went to look deeper smd see my blood. it was full of vitality but had a strange golden tint to it. seeing deeper my organs were 100x times more efficient at their jobs. with one deeper look I found out that I don't have mana nor qi it was pure energy... hmm I'll call this orgin saying to myself with a smile.
withdrawing my vision I try and summon orgin out like I would mana. feeling that it was about to reach the surface the air was getting tense giving a heavy feeling to jojo and hera. as soon as it made contract with the air it made the air cleaner. inhaling air from my nose. like a summer breeze over a crystal clear lake.
thinking about it I try to change it to mana and within a few seconds it change to mana. I then change it to qi. "so it can change it from mana to qi" mumbling to myself. I need more tests I try to make my domain of ice appear just an inch around me.
the air got colder, colder then usually. the water in the air started to freeze and snow started to form. staring at it I forget about where I was and tried to make it go colder. the temperature drops even more. the snow turned into solid ice crystals. taking s deep breath In I push it more trying to get it colder and colder.
"hisss" hearing a hissing noise i look up breaking my concentration to see a half frozen carriage but the cold air was making jojo and hers shiver
"oh shit sorry about that you two" displessling the cold the ice slowly melts away. I thinking to myself I think if I switch it to mana it's around 5th rank mage but i think i should be around 5th rank knight
as well since it's the same energy.. for know let me.call this magic knight. hehe that's a good name
smiling to myself.
a few hours into the day the sun was about to set we reached a small town. finding somewhere to stop long hopped off the top and said "Nyx I think we should spend the night and continue tomorrow" hoping for nyx to say.
"good idea and also tomorrow we will continue on foot, we are suppose to train as we travel and who knows we may stumble on old relics that have treasure" I reply with sparking eyes of all the gold i can find.
"what? will we have time I mean we only have a few years to go to the tournament and you want to see your brother right? long said
even though he agreed with training their was no time to see her brother who was at least 6-7 months carriage ride away. it would be a faster trip to fly.
"I'm half lying. I don't plan to see my brother just yet. we will meet at the tournament but for now I want to go around and have an adventure. besides I want to be at least a earth knight before the tournaments, but would he impossible if I stayed at the lei residence. I need lucky encounters, don't you want to rank in the top 10? or get 2nd place? I said to him
"you didn't have to lie, I'm sure the head elder would let you go on an adventure if you asked? and 2nd place why not 1st?
because unless you think you can beat me you wont be 1st rank. and no I wont becusde he knows who I am. with a serious look I stare at him.
"I can win against you, Just you watch. and fine where are we really heading? knowing that he was being dragged on whatever adventure she wanted he just agreed.
" we are heading to the valley of a thousand deaths, I heard a few people talk about it and how a person was a cave filled with precious plants that can help ones constitution" saying with a big smile
"do you want to seek my death? because that's how you will get me killed, who ever said that was clearly messing around. their is nothing but death there. I agree the very few people who came out of the valley had received legendary skills and plants and pills they found but the chances of death are 1 in a thousand." long staring at the serious nyx.
"small stuff we... I mean I am extremely lucky" walking forward to pat long on the shoulder showing a smile and with my other hand I give him a thumbs up. "rest up buddy old pal its a 2 week walk from here" I said as I look around for an inn.
"I'm going to die" long says to himself as he goes to follow nyx
the next day
walking up around noon and stretching I quickly get and change into a place blue robe. heading down the stairs I see long taking with two people, they look like they were having fun. walking over to the group I put on a cold straight face, purposely changing the air temperature around me to drop a few degrees.
sensing the cold air creep up his neck long turns around
"your finally up. what took you so long" struggling to smile
" I thought we agreed to leave at first light" restocking him making the air get colder I stare at him.
"nyx I wanted to, I honestly did. you just wouldn't wake up hmpt nkt mu fault" long said trying to build up confidence. showing off to his two guest that he wasn't scared.
staring at him with a cold look which could freeze hell itself "I see" watching his every move but at that moment a group of people burst through the door.
"WHERE IS THIS HEAVENLY BEAUTIFUL Maiden" a person no older then 23 says. he looks around the inn till he finds me. focusing his gaze he walks up to me.
"your even more beautiful then what I heard about you. allow me to take you out for a meal" the young man says with a bashful smile and lustful eyes
"piss off" given him a cold stare
"you should be lucky a mortal like you attracted the eyes of my young master, count your blessings" what looked like a brown noise lacky quickly responds to me with rage.
"enough, I'm mu gin, I come from a very powerful family. maybe you heard of me?" looking at me with the same lustful eyes.
"I'm going to say it again piss off" summoning my sword ice appears on the ground.
hmpt"i was being nice to you and giving you face, but you just dont wsnt to give me face so now I'll let me men rough you up a bit. let's see you keep up with denying me" waving his men to move forward.
not in the mood for a drawn out battle I take a step and disappear to only reappear in front of his men. "die" with a quick sweep of my sword I bisected all 3 of them. freezing them as I cut them so bo blood sprays.. looking to my left I realised I missed the brown noise lacky.
"oh heavenly maiden please spare me, I'm a lowly person who is just a speck of dust" begging for his life he quickly kneetows to me. hmpt disappearing I stab my sword into him and cripple him. looking at the young master I wave my sword and cut his manhood.
dropping to the ground he releases a scream of a dying pig before passing out. given a icy glance to long. "are your two friends coming? " I said and before long can respond I walk out the in. "hera, Jörmungandr we are leaving" two demonic beast came out of nowhere and went beside nyx.
