Chapter 3: The Real Tutorial Begins!
*Ding!* [Acquired A Gold Branch] Looking at his inventory with a dead expression , Fang was waiting for the information to appear. [ A Gold Branch , a mysterious power lies dormant within the essence of the seemingly normal branch. (Random Tutorial Reward) ] "What hidden powers?! How does this even look like a normal branch!?" The man stood up in anger and suddenly felt a slight tremor. "What's going on??" Turning around , I saw a door sliding up from the stone wall with a bright rays of light coming from the doorway. " I can finally return?.. I didn't beat the buggy yet though.." Slowly making his way through the door , Fang found himself standing in front of the empty wooden trunk tunnel.
"This! This is the entrance with the red arrow." Gazing through his map , he noticed that a area around him was drawn out within the black zone. "Oh shoot.." I came into realization that I am actually in the opposite side of the tunnel and with a sense of danger creeping on my back , I quickly turned around with the golden branch gripped tightly in my hand. Looking through the dense black fogs , I could barely make out anything but roots , huge gigantic roots that were twice or three times bigger than the starting zone.
"You have come , chosen hero." As soon I heard the voice , the black fog slowly faded away into the sky as it changed to a white color. "Who..who's speaking?! Show yourself!" Looking around , Fang only saw a little downward hill with a giant tree in the middle. "I apologize for not being able to greet you earlier hero.." I froze upon hearing the voice once again that came from the tree. 'What the! did the middle part of the tree just moved?!' Looking closely to the tree , I could make out a simple facial structure with two big wooden square that extended out and with the space between them.. "Don't tell me.. you are the one talking to me?" Staring underneath the square brows , I could see it move slightly as it opened his mouth once again. "Correct! Hero , you are really smart and bright and sharp and intelligent and.." The tree kept complimenting him but Fang didn't seem to mind since he was nodding in agreement for all of them.
"Yes , yes , I am the smart , bright , sharp and inte- Wait a minute! Why can you talk and why are you waiting for me?!" The tree simply laughed as it blew a gust of wind that almost send the hero flying into the walls. "Hahaha Hero.. I am ashamed but I ask of you to enter my body and destroy Queen Buggy for me.. She snuck in while I was sleeping and is now slowly draining me from the inside.. Withering me even faster than usual.." The tree smoothly avoided the first question as it plead Fang with a pitiful tone for his help. 'Queen Buggy! That's it , I have to kill her so I can return back to my world..' After clearing my throat , I stood with my back up straight in front of the tree. "I see , I shall go inside of you.. and stop the buggy!" 'I never dreamed that I would say that to a... man-tree..or any man for a fact. '
"Thank you hero! Please come inside of me!" With a disgusting feeling , I went inside of his wide open mouth and saw a bunch of spider webs around the interior of the tree. "What is this... it's like a whole new world.." *Ding* [Entering Inside of the Great Pepu Tree] "Thank you system , I did not know where I was but thanks to you , I now know that I voluntarily entered A TREE!" After my sarcasm remark , I took a step forward and encountered my first possible enemy. "What is that!?" Looking at the two brown flower head that stretched out from the ground , I held my wooden branch in front of me. [Killing it once and EE can extract the basic information.]
Slowly walking around the immobile plant , it was following me with it's non existence face and I figured out that it couldn't attack me because of the range limit. "So it's a melee type huh.." As I slowly took a step forward , the two headed plant dashed forward with their head and smashed right onto my wooden stick. "Gaaa!" The heads retracted and were slowly spinning around with tiny stars. "It's dizzy! Attack! Normal branch chop!" The plant was taller at first but now that it retracted a little bit of it's vine body , I easily smacked it onto the head and it exploded into a cloud of smoke. "Wha?"

"Ooohh! I can level through experience points.." Looking at the ground , I saw a small blue round coin that flew into my body. *Ding* [ +1 Crystal : 1 Crystals] After making sure I was still alive and had no holes in my body , I curiously asked the system about the coin
"System , what is crystal?" [Crystal can be exchanged for anything in the shop.] "Sigh.. System , open shop" With a new ui that covered half of my vision , I could see multiple tabs and the first one that I was on was called the weapon tab. "Woah! I can buy all of this?" Scrolling down through the weapon tabs , I could see many fantasy looking swords , guns , bows and even a high tech rail cannon. Going through half of the list , I noticed that every item below the half mark were all grayed out with 3 question marks with a lock on it. "I see.. I need to unlock it.. and that is just one tab." Underneath the Weapon tab there was even a Throwing and Usable tabs , the first involved things like grenade while the second had bullets , arrows and such.
"So many tabs.." Although there was dozen of tabs , one of them got my attention. "Spells.." With the tab open , I could only see 3 spells that costed 1 crystal each while the rest were locked out even earlier than the weapons. "Spark , Flame and Frost Shield " Reading through the short description , Spark allowed me to channel a 1000 volt of lightning from my fingers , Flame acted like a flamethrower while Frost Shield created a immobile wall of ice around me and to move I would have to cancel my spell. "System , what do spell consume?" [Vit , basic spells require 1 to 2 Vit while high rank requires 15 Vit and in term it consume stamina , the more Vit the more stamina user have.] "Ah right , system , describe me the stats in detail." [ STR is strength and defense , required for some weapons or armor , VIT is stamina and endurance , required for spells and accessories , INT is intelligence and memory , required for alchemy spells and DEX is speed and flexibility , required for throwing weapons.] Hearing the reply from girly voiced EE , Fang switched from the main sub tab to the alchemy one. "Dirt Sentry and Sand Shield.. 20 Crystal each?!" With even less unlocked spells , Fang was surprised by the cost of the alchemist basic spells. "Invoking nature to shape and summon a Sentry that will shoot enemy on sight with a sharp stone pellet..."
The spells sounded amazing with the sand shield being weaker than the Frost one but could move around with the user. "I could summon the dirt sentry and have it take care of all the monster for me while I loot everything huhuhu." With his saliva dripping down , Fang became even more motivated to seek the monsters inside of the trees. "For now I need to be real and get.. Flame! I am fighting a bug..I think so why not...but wait.. what if I accidentally burn down the tree.." Scratching his head , Fang decided to buy the flame as his mission was to kill the bug and not to keep the tree alive. "Forgive me , my life , a hero life is a priority." With a new ui tab on the left side of his character display , Fang saw a flame icon. "eh.. think and..." The flame icon appeared in his character left hand and inspected his left hand in real life , he saw a small orange circle on the back of his hand. "Cool! It's like a tattoo hehe... System , how do I cast a spell."
'Kekeke before I make a fool out of myself this times , I better ask the system first.' [Simply think of the spell after equipping them.] "And..System , can I only have two spells at once?" [Unless you have 4 arms , then yes but don't worry , user can switch spells at will.. if smart enough.] This system is out for me for some reason.. With my hand extended , I thought of the word flame and the tattoo suddenly glowed in red with a wave of flame coming out from my palms. "Woah!" The flame didn't go very far , about 5 meters but it's more than enough for those short range plants.
With my flame accidentally grazed against the inside wall , the tree shook and caused many things to fall from the ceiling , yes , I think I see a dozen of brown spiders raining down from the sky. "AHHH!!!"
