Chapter 11: The Bee Queen's Last Words
I hear a female voice in my head, I think that it is her voice, she bows down so I think it's her. Why would she call me Red wing? Can I even talk to her? Maybe if I think real hard like with the system?
"Why did you offend me?"
I try to sound domineering, and as I see her shudder, it probably worked.
"You killed few of my workers, so I did send a few scouts. When you suddenly attacked we counter attacked."
What a stupid reason, a thousand bees, a few?
"You should have stopped attacking after the first thousand, I wouldn't have found your hive so soon, but it's too late now."
"If you let me live I'll forever be in your.."
I don't even want to know what she'll offer, she was cut in half before she could finish her offer. I might have let her live if she didn't have what I wanted.
A blood sphere flies to me and there's a shining drop inside, I just hope I don't turn in such an abomination because of her.
I drink the blood essence and my head starts burning, afterwards it's all of my body. But the pain in my head is the worse. If I was stronger I wouldn't need to go through so much pain. My hell ride starts.
After what feels like the shortest pain yet it resides again, I don't feel like much has changed though, just that I'm extremely tired. The fight was long and it pushed me and my blood control hard, I just want to sleep.
I fly to a tree close by and touch down on a leaf and I fall asleep again. I wake up again and I remember my dreams it was about bees, I started as a small bee and leveled my way up. I realized that I was the queen bee I killed today, I went through her whole life in fast-forward. Honestly, it was rather useless, I found plenty of things that I would have done differently. But she started as just a bug, so it's not that bad. The only interesting things were that she gained blood essence when evolving into a variant bee, the queen bee. And that she controlled the bees with her telepathy skill, I can't use this if I made blood bees because they would need to have a mind of their own. Other than that the memories were rather useless.
But there's still this feeling I gained something, but I don't know what. Ugh guess I should ask that guy again, maybe I should just ask a proper status.

The name she gave me got recognized by the system? Damn, I'm glad she called me something pretty okay, it's at least way better than my race. It's like a double variant blood mosquito, I guess the quality diet does pay off, and my looks are better too. 4 wings are pretty awesome, such a shame I lost one though, I'm glad it's easy to substitute for it using blood control. I think I should head off again as all the bee blood over here is useless now.
I fly towards the lake once more, I kill everything on my way to gain blood again, let's see my new limit.
My limit has doubled, I can use more of course but that would be way too taxing.
I can have 10 4cm needles around me at all times. The power of the blood has increased too, I can probably kill the warrior bees with the blood cloud now too. As I am now, I could have destroyed the bee hive without any injuries. Having a control type magic is really over powered. Would there be something new when I get blood control to level max? I hope there is.
Something I noticed is that I can make out major blood vessels in creatures if I focus only a little. Before I needed to focus really hard, but it's getting close to being visible all the time. I think I can notice blood essence like this too, it's just that I haven't found a creature with blood essence yet.
As I come to the lake again there is something special, the water deer is fighting. And it's winning.
The opponent is a cat-like creature, it's completely white and shoots lasers. It looks like a light based skill. The deer uses sheets of water to redirect the angle of the lasers, it's a great idea. It can use the created openings to attack the cat. It was over in moments, the deer used the sharp edge of a sheet to cut the cat, it couldn't dodge forever and ended up with losing half its head. I think the deer likes using the sheets of water, it's pretty smart as it can be used for both defense and offense. And I don't think I have a big chance of winning against it, the volume of water it controls is really big compared to me. That might get me in a disadvantaged position.
I don't need to kill it anyway, so I'll just let it do what it wants to do.
After enjoying the show I search for new pray, but there isn't anything much. And as I'm carrying enough blood I don't need to kill. I'll fly north this time, the bee hive was south, and it was pretty domineering in its territory. It's such a shame the bee queen didn't know any good pray close to the lake, or any at all, so I'll need to search far away.
