The moment the meat and liver that he had recently grilled entered his stomach, he felt an immediate rush of energy in his whole body, instantly replenishing the stamina he had consumed during his morning workout.

He also felt his body become a lot lighter, with his hand-eye coordination, flexibility, reflexes as well as balance had all increasing significantly.

He immediately checked his basic attributes to see his current status

.....

As he looked at his basic attributes, a broad smile appeared on his face. He still had the Blood Patterned Mushroom with him which he had to carefully prepare before consuming. That was why he didn't consume it immediately!

During this time, in the real world, when Alvin once again increased his attributes, the blue glow once again appeared on his body repeating the same strengthening process but this time it only lasted for a few seconds.

Back in the game, Alvin was faced with a new dilemma. Now that he knew that Shimotsuki Village lied at the other side of this island, he had a clear goal ahead of him. But now, he was presented with another issue; how to get there.

The shape of this island prevented him from circling around to the other side meaning he would have to go through this dangerous forest. Yesterday, he had only roamed the surrounding areas of the forest and actually met a level 4 ferocious beast. Then what kind of dangerous beasts lies in the middle parts of this forest. Even with his increased strength, he wasn't that confident in being able to cross those parts.

The only thing he could do now, is slow train and level up until he can face up to at least a level 4 beast. With that he will have the confidence to enter the deeper parts of this forest.

With this thought in mind, Alvin began his daily sword practice to get used to the new increase in his strength.

Because his stamina had still not reached the required 200 points, he still could not advance to the intermediate stage of the [Basic Sword Arts] so he could only make do with practicing the initial stage. What comforted him was that this stage still had the effect of increasing strength and vitality.

With his sword in hand, he began to practice the stances again and again. This time, he had to practice a whole two hours before he felt the sensation of increasing his vitality. What surprised him was that after this session of practice, after he checked his attributes, apart from his vitality, his strength had also increased by 1 point.

Alvin understood the principle that the stronger the body is, the harder it would be to break through limits. That is why it took a whole two hours to experience a breakthrough while it took only an hour during yesterdays practice.

...

What Alvin didn't realise was that while he was busy practising his stances, three strangers had appeared in the nearby bushes, closely staring at him.

The tallest of them was actually a girl who looked about 12-13 years old. She stood at about 1.4 meters tall and had short, dark blue hair and dark brown eyes. She wore a white sleeveless shirt and green pants.

The taller of the two remaining boys looked very young with tanned skin and long white hair that he wore loosely. He was wearing a red robe and with a white armband on his left arm. He was also wearing peculiar red shoes!

The last and youngest of these three was a young boy with an iconic green hair and average height. He was wearing a black sleeveless shirt and the badge of a peculiar dojo on his right chest and also black knee length shorts and brown boots.

All these three had swords strapped around their waist meaning they were all swordsmen.

They had been standing there, looking at Alvin for almost an hour and even with Alvin's extraordinary battle trained senses, he hadn't discovered them.

"Saga, do you recognise this young man? I don't seem to have ever seen him in village before?" the green haired boy asked.

"Don't be silly, muscle head, from his attire, does he look like a member of Shimotsuki Village?" the taller young man with silver hair said derisively to him.

"I told you to stop calling me muscle head" the green haired boy said angrily while still trying to keep his voice down.

Still laughing, the other boy said, "Ha ha, muscle head, the day you stop getting lost at every turn, I'll top calling you muscle head!"

"Stop you two, he seems to have finished his practice and entered the forest. He doesn't seem to be from this Island. From his dressing, he might be one of those outsiders that father had mentioned. Let's continue to follow." the oldest girl among them spoke and started moving towards where Alvin had disappeared into the forest.

The green haired boy frowned when he heard this. "Outsider, I thought master said outsiders are very strong. This one looks rather weak. He doesn't look like an outsider at all!"

"Stop talking and follow, muscle head!"

"I told you, I'm not muscle head!"

The two behind continued to argue while still following Alvin.

....

A few hours later…

An agile figure was fighting against a giant wolf like beast.

If you look carefully at this figure of a young man, you could see his angular face, and deep blue eyes with shoulder length black hair. There was blood stains all over his white shirt as he looked distressed fighting against this beast.

This young man was Alvin who was ambushed by this beast a few hours after entering this forest.

The beast he was fighting was a Level 3 Wind Wolf which specialised in speed. Its speed could be said to be on the same level as the Silver tailed leopard that he met yesterday but this beast had weaker attacks.

Despite it having weaker attack power, Alvin was still struggling to deal with it. Sometimes, when the strength of the opponent exceeds you to a certain extent, no amount of combat experience could make up for the gap in strength.

This was the exact situation Alvin was facing.

Today, he hadn't even ventured far into the forest but had encountered this setback. This had let him have a rude awakening that his current strength was far from enough. Just this low level beast could let him fall in such a crises!
