Chapter 2: First Day of School

"Ah little Li, your a grown boy now, there's no need to be sad! You can still come visit me on the weekend!" mother Liu comforted. In her mind, she thought that after her only son left the house, he would miss he terribly and that was the reason for crying.

Putting himself together, Liu Li ate breakfast and left directly to school after his parents sent him off.

"Haaaa... I haven't cried in millions of years only to do it in front of my own mother. How shameful." Liu Li thought. He never had one true person he could call a friend or a lover in that matter since he was so infatuated with becoming stronger and finding his home planet.

Taking a bus, it took over an hour to get to his school which was on the other side of the city.

Arriving in front of his school, he read a sign near the entrance that wrote 'Lao First High" as he couldn't help but feel nostalgic. This high school the best high school in the city and fairly expensive. If it wasn't for the fact that Liu Li's parents had to ask his uncle for money in order to enroll me into the high along with rent money to live in an apartment near the school, he wouldn't of been able to attend.

"And that's all I have to say, remember to try your best as education will determine your future!" an old man said in the distance

Hearing this Liu Li couldn't help but make an awkward face, it seemed he missed the entrance ceremony. Luckily from his previous timeline, he knew what class he was going to attend and went straight to class.

.

.

Walking into class, Liu Li found that many students were looking for their desks with nameplates on them. Seeing that his name plate was at the back of the classroom next to the window, he sat down. Moments later, a beautiful and tall light caramel skinned beauty with short black hair that barely touching her shoulders as they curved upwards slightly, similarly black eyes and what seemed like she had a cold temperament sat right next to Liu Li.

Liu Li wasn't all that bad also, in fact, he could be considered extremely handsome. He also had short black hair with blue eyes and skin that could make even the most delicate girl envy. He stood at 6 feet tall had slight muscle tone but it really didn't show making him look like a person who only had skin and bones.

As she sat down, she didn't take the initiative to greet him as it was the same of Liu Li.

Leaning his chin on his right hand while gazing out the window, Liu Li had no time bothering with some girl just because she was above average. Granted it did make Liu Li's heart waver but only for an instant. Even if he was some old foggy he still never experienced anything other than bloodshed or hard work. Something like love and happiness was extremely foreign to him before returning and only lived off determination to achieve his goal of returning.

"This world is really deprived of Qi which means I can't use a typical cultivation technique.. I could use the Qi acupuncture opening technique that would automatically let me take in all sorts of energy but at the same time it would be to dangerous as I couldn't stop malicious Qi from entering.. Maybe I can find a yin or yang item to assist me.. No the item would be depleted in no less than a year and it would be extremely hard to find one in this kind of world.. Maybe I can try...?" As Liu Li was thinking about what cultivation technique to use, the teacher in charge of the class was starting to introducing himself to his students.

"Welcome, welcome! Today we'll just be introducing ourselves and start off a little bit on a one page paragraph on what you did over summer. My name is Zhang Wu, you guys may call me teacher Zhang" as he finished introducing himself, he told the students to first get to know their desk partners as they weren't going to change till graduation.

This school was pretty strict with seating and organization in general as they thought making the same teacher teach the students for three years will be the most effective as the teacher will be able to guide them properly after learning their weaknesses towards certain areas of a subject.

Since Liu Li was busy with more important matters, he ignored his teacher while thinking and gazing outside of the window next to his desk.

"Hey." said the girl next to Liu Li

"..."

Getting no reply, she thought that she may of spoke to quietly so she raised her voice and said

"Hey."

"..."

Still no reply, she started to get a bit agitated. She knew for a fact that she spoke loud enough for this boy beside her to hear but still got no reply.

Tapping Liu Li's shoulder, it directly brought him out of his train of thought.

At this point Liu Li finally decided what cultivation technique he would use and was starting to formulate a schedule and materials he would need in order to quicken his cultivation but as he was starting to do so he felt someone disturbing him making him frown.

Looking towards the direction where his shoulder was touched, he saw his desk partner was slightly frowning while looking towards him.

"Hmph! With me being your desk partner for three years you should be happy but instead look annoyed! See how i'll make your life miserable as the year progresses." she thought to herself. In general she was pretty fair to others but seeing this mans displeased look towards her, she couldn't help but be mad. What reason was this boy frowning towards her for?

"What is it? Can't you see that i'm busy?" Liu Li said while staring at the girls eyes.

"..."
