Chapter 3: Aliens!!!
[Mindscape]
"Where am I?" thought Adam gaining conscious. All he remembered was blacking out again. He could no feel any pain and his brain seemed oddly at peace.
"You're in your Mindscape," someone replied. Looking around urgently he looked for where the voice came from.
As he looked around he noticed where he was. The surrounding area was totally blank. There was no other color except for the peaceful white.
"I'm down here," Adam still shocked about where he was. Looked down at his feet. Only to his surprise to see a little baby that looked eerily like him.
Jack backed away from the baby, "Who are you?" he asked. The baby looked at him smiling." I am your potential."
"My what?, he asked.
"Your potential dummy?", the baby replied.
Jack did not understand what was happening. Ever since he started to change, weird stuff has been happening. Cautiously he asked, "How did I get here?".
"When you blacked out, that thing called you here", the weird baby pointed behind him.
Turning around his eyes went wide. He saw the mysterious Rubiks cube that disappeared last night. Curiously he moved towards the cube.
As soon as he reached the cube. He reached out his hand to touch it. The moment his hand touched the cube, he felt down.
So much information just rushed into his from the cube. Standing up, he realized what was happening to him.
The mysterious cube he found last night. Was actually alien technology from a super alien civilization.
The aliens found earth a couple thousand years ago. And managed to kidnap some of them. As they experimented with the humans they found out the potential of the human brain.
They were jealous of the untapped potential of the human brain. So they created the mysterious cube to emulate the potential of the human brain.
But as they were about to test the cube, they where attacked by an enemy civilization.
In a last-ditch effort, they sent the cube into the earth. The cube managed to enter his room through his window, that he left open last night.
When his hand was poked by the Rubiks cube, the blood that came out, made the cube fuse with his mind.
Everything that was happening to him, was due to the cube awakening the potential of his brain. The voices he was hearing were the electrical signal of thoughts going through people brains.
His brain had started to perceive those signal. But that already took up too much of his brains energy. So his brain ran out of energy quickly, which caused him to stop perceiving the electrical signal and blacked out.
Turning around, he saw the little baby. He knew that the baby was actual the potential of his brain.
Going over the power his brain had awakened. He had telekinesis, telepathy, and minor control over his body.
"Come here," he said talking to the baby. The baby walked towards him, picking up the baby. He put him on his shoulder, "From now on your Adam Jr. okay," he said to the baby.
"Okay", the baby said cutely. "So how can I improve my powers?", he asked Junior excitedly.
This opportunity just fell into his laps. He now had the chance to become the most powerful person man in the world.
"All you have to is practice your powers", Junior said.
"You have to eat a lot of high energy food". For example eat dark chocolate, broccoli, nuts. "Those foods will help your brain develop, and replenish its energy".
Excited to start practicing his new powers, he asked junior when he would regain consciousness. "Right now". And he blacked out for the third time.
He woke up to the familiar scene of his roommates surrounding him. "Dude you got to lay off the drugs, man!!!!". "We don't want to keep on carrying you from the floor", said Tom anxiously.
Standing up from his bed, he was immediately hit with a strong pang of hunger. Almost falling to the ground, he headed for the kitchen.
Opening the fridge he wanted to grab the milk jug to eat more cereal. But seeing some broccoli, he grabbed that instead of the milk, remembering what Junior said.
Washing the broccoli, he put it into the microwave. When the broccoli finished microwaving, he waited for it to cool down before eating one. It was a little bit hot but the moment he swallowed his hunger was lifted by a lot.
Quickly finishing the bowl of broccoli. He tried testing out his new powers. Focusing on the bowl, he tried forcing his will upon it, telling it to move. But that did not really do anything, focusing on his brain he tried to see if he could sense anything.
He felt a type of energy inside his brain he tried touching the energy. It felt warm in his mind. Making it move he directed the energy to the bowl, making a link connected to the bowl. He tried using the energy to lift it up.
The bowl started moving up, he was so surprised he fell from his seat. That's so trippy he thought. Moving the bowl around in the air. He was soon tired out though.
"I have to work on that.", he thought to put the bowl back on the table. He also knew that he could also control his body. but he did not dare try that.
He did not really know anything about the human physiology and he didn't want to die from accidentally, stopping his heart.
Looking at the time it was almost 12 pm. He needed to go to the store, to buy more high energy foods. Putting on his shoes he hollered to his roommates that he was going out.
Getting out of the house, he saw tons of people. Taking this chance, he practiced his telepathy. Instead of reading the minds of everyone in his surroundings.
He only focused on the mind of one person. Before he wasn't conscious of his energy. The energy spread around reading the electrical energy of everyone within the radius of 5 meters brain.
He set his target on the man that was in charge of the reception gate.
"This is the most boring job ever."
"I wonder if that chick from last night is gonna call."
Adam was chuckling in his mind, some people thought about really funny stuff when they were bored. Leaving the dorm building he headed for the grocery store close by.
