Chapter 1: The Masterpiece
The Huang Family was the king of businesses. As a Huang, he was trained to be a genius among geniuses. The Feng Family was the sovereign of the underworld. As a Feng, she was trained to the peak, best among her peers.
They had a duty, to create a masterpiece.
The masterpiece was her. Their daughter.
Her parents were alive, but she did not have parents.
As the next king, she was honed to be a genius among geniuses that was among even more geniuses. As the future queen of the underworld, she was also honed to the pinnacle.
But it was not enough. She was yet to be the masterpiece they wanted.
What was the masterpiece they wanted?
Porcelain white skin. Soft silver hair. A pair of purple eyes that see through people minds. Ears which was better than the norms. And a nose as good as a cat?
The bright white light blinded her from laboratory instruments, still, it was a torture. Her emotions were made to gradually disappear and pain can no longer be felt.
Six years as the king of business and queen of the underworld, she became the target of all. She was protected by bodyguards, only so would they get paid.
That night, she was alone and unguarded. She knew that an uninvited guest would come tonight, still, she waited patiently. The hitman came.
The hitman stabbed his dagger into her heart, "A masterpiece like you, should not exist at all."
She smiled as she stares at her murderer, "Thank you."
At last, she fell onto her bed of bloomed red spider lilies. With a glimpse of the beautiful night sky. Her eyes gently closed as she drifted into a deep slumber.
