Chapter 130: Making a Bet [C130]
Hearing his plan they were all dumbfounded, even if he were to conquer both demons and angels, the hate would not be stopped by an order! And anyway… with his strength, something like conquering both races was simply impossible.
Sighing, the Demon King shook her head, "Even if I saw your strength and I am surprised by it, that you conquer the world is something hard to believe… while you are strong for your realm, a single Longevity Realm expert could easily kill you… to not talk about someone as strong as me and the angels' expert..."
Expecting such answer Shu Himo chuckled, "What do you think about doing a bet?"
Startled, she asked puzzled, "A bet? What kind of bet?"
Grinning, Shu Himo showed two fingers of his right hand, "If I become stronger than you in no more than 2 years, you will swear loyalty to me, while if I fail to overcome your current strength, I will instead swear loyalty to you."
"What? In 2 years?" She was in disbelief, the only reason she reached her strength was due to innumerable treasures which sped up her cultivation… yet even she needed way more than that!
Most people would not even reach the Longevity Realm in their whole lifetimes! Yet… a Dantian Core Formation was saying that… it was normal to be shocked from it.
Pondering for a moment, she considered that in both cases it would not be a bad trade… if she were to lose, she would swear loyalty to someone with a bright future, while if she won, she would instead gain a great talent.
Normally someone would need various months to pass a single phase… to jump so many realms in two years would mean that Shu Himo was a true monster.
Nonetheless, she wanted to confirm one thing, "If you win, what will you do after having conquered this world?"
Grinning, Shu Himo pointed the sky, "Why would I stop with just this world?"
Hearing his reply, she could not help but chuckle, "Interesting... on the name of the Demon Queen, I will accept your bet!"
The main reason she accepted the bet was purely out of boredom, knowing that if there wasn't a new factor influencing the war, she would lose years and years of time before being finally free, maybe even using her entire life having to protect the demons...
Knowing that Shu Himo didn't plan to stop at this world, she believed that in the case she lost the bet, it would be the end of this boring life… starting anew, against stronger places…
Shu Himo hearing that she accepted smiled, and asked curiously, "Demon Queen… what is your name?" After making such a bet, Shu Himo believed that not knowing her name would be weird.
Grinning to his question, she replied, "Ifera Runa… you alone may call me as Runa if you wish."
The moment she revealed her name, both Ifera Runa and Shu Himo expression grew in shock, as a *Ding* resounded in both of their minds.

'WHAT?' He could not believe it… first, the system gives him the fault claiming he did not ask... and when he does, he replied that it was a secret! What kind of joke was this?
While Shu Himo was arguing with the system, Ifera Runa was dumbfounded, what was that display in front of her?
Feeling an energy around her wanting to stop her from telling others about the system, she frowned, that energy can't be the work of Shu Himo, he was not strong enough to produce something that could threaten her!
Merely a moment later, the energy appeared to vanish in the nothingness, yet she felt that it would return were she to attempt revealing the existence of that display.
Staring at Shu Himo, she noticed that he was frowning by himself as if arguing with someone… was he talking with the being who made that display?
Noticing that her confidence of winning the bet was already lowering remarkably, she sighed. Yet, each second that passed she was growing eager to know what will happen in the future.
Gazing at Shu Himo she snapped her fingers once, as she said, "Now I will go… beware to not die before we will meet once again…"
Suddenly, the walls of the tower appeared to morph, and more than fifty rays of black light covered her, bending the laws of space.
"Ah! Wa... it..." Before Shu Himo could end the phrase, she already vanished, leaving behind a dumbfounded Shu Himo, 'What am I supposed to do with the remainings of the Met-3?'
[The User may be the first to make a bet with a Demon King and wonder instead about what to do with the broken remainings of a couple scraps.]
'What is wrong with wonder about that? Oh, well, I will take them, maybe I can sell them for some crystals…'
