Chapter 3: A Past to Change
I remembered what will happen;
After 2 years, my aunt would meet again her baby daddy. And that baby daddy, uncle Kang Bongye, is working for my paternal grandparents. They will then discovered my father is his young master.
My aunt found a picture of my father in my mothers thing when she was looking for something to sell. When uncle Bongye visited her, he saw the picture with the caption at the back, "Nai's Father". He then told my aunt about it. And they planned to ask money from my father in exchange for taking care of me.
And their plan was successful my father did contact them about me. He told them he will pay them anything if they give me to him. So they ask for a huge amount of money.
But, on the day of the exchange my father was on a car accident on his way to the contact point. It was because his wife, Jun Yeonji, and him got into an argument.
Later, I discovered that this argument is because the wife was so angry at my father because of me. She was barren, and cant have children. This has been the cause of their many disputes. Then one night, due to anger my father went to his usual bar and drink.
This is were mama was working as a bartender. She got close to my father there. And that night they went beyond the line and conceived me. My father did not know about me, my mother did not tell him because she knew that he was married. My mother left the club after a few months and that stopped her communication with my father.
So when my father learned of my existence he was ecstatic. He finally has a child on his own. He trusted them because they told them about my mother and uncle Bongye was trusted by the Kim family. But, this cause her wife to enraged. They were fighting during the car drive and that causes the accident that killed both of them.
So, the money did not reached my aunts hands, they were angry about it for a long time and I was the one to suffer for that.
2 years after that the secretary of my grandparents discovered where my father and step-mother was going during the accident. And so, they learned of my existence. And my uncle heard about it and plan ahead with my aunt.
When they came to our house to get me and raise me as their heir. My aunt brainwashed me into thinking that my grandparents are bad people and they are here to punish me over my fathers death before I met them. She told me to never go with them if I don't want to be hurt.
So, when they came, I was already afraid of them. I hide from them. My aunt then said that its better if she takes care of me until I'm 18 years old. When they saw me like that my grandparents then left dishearten. To compensate me, They gave me a monthly allowance, but it never reached my hands.
My grandparents left for America to treat the sickness of my grandmother, so everything was manage by uncle Bongye, everything that was supposed to be mine was given to Sayeon, my cousin. The money was used by my aunt to buy a big house in their name, expensive cars, and luxurious things. They were living as if they own the money. My cousin even become well known in our school as the "rich girl".
After receiving my monthly allowance my aunt forgot about me. And my cousin became a local tyrant. She was even reason why I was scared in my past life. She was throwing a tantrum because she wanted to buy an expensive bag, but the monthly allowance was not due 2 days after.
So she broke a lot of stuff, one of which is an expensive glass lamp shade she through at the wall and I was hit with the shards, because I started to bleed heavily in my face and arms, Sayeon got shocked and started crying hysterically. When aunt and uncle saw this they fuss about her and disregard me who was bleeding. Because the wounds were not tended earlier the wounds become scars.
Scars that destroyed my life.
So, at my 18th birthday my grandparents planned to came back to take me away. Uncle become rattled because he forgot about it. He was afraid of their reaction to my face with full of scars.
Then my aunt told my uncle to just have Sayeon replace my place as their granddaughter, since the pictures that they sent to them every month are Sayeon's. So, they change my name to Sayeon. And change Soyeon's name to Nai Hyo
Then, I realized that Sayeon was missing from the house for days, when I ask them they said that they sent her to school.
But, then I discovered when I was 20 years old what happened. I over heard them talking about what they did. They sent Sayeon to the Kim's to act as me. That's when I remembered my grandparents. I discovered their betrayal to me, I realized what they did all my life. It all came back to me, the maltreatment I received from them.
So I confronted them, but they tried to kill me. So, I run away.. but they still found me...and hit me with their car.. The last person I saw was my uncle sitting in his car which hit me.
I will never let this happen, I will change everything!
