Chapter 1: Chapter 1

The full moon shone on the ground below and the earth seemed to shift. The pitpat of rain could be heard over the silence of the night. The ground then, as if an illusion parted and monsters poured out crawling, climbing over others and flying ones speedily left. More monsters continued to do this and all over the world, the same scene was happening.

People screamed and the news reporters as courageous as they might when faced with potential news ran. Some though snapped pictures and shared them. Suddenly a heroic voice sounded

"Fear not for I am here." And with a quick punch, a monster creeping up on a civilian exploded into chunks of flesh. The man flew without any support and people stopped running and looked at him in expectation.

Suddenly a ball of fire flew towards the floating man but he seemingly, easily dispelled it through a gesture though his deep voice when talking next quivered.

"Run before you are killed! I can't hold them all off! The people seemingly realizing their situation began to run. At this moment more fireballs flew towards the man and he exhibited a faint feeling of fear before replacing it with confidence.

He once more deflected the fireballs and, once more winced when they contacted his skin. All around the world these situations were occurring and places without those heroes were quickly overrun. Some places, however, had multiple and split them up into teams. Those places were around the capital. However, there were some very strong people in the country who took in the travelers. The number of heroes multiplied and a league called the Adventurers Guild as a reminiscence of the past.

A month later a lich on his dying breath used the last of his magic to send his knowledge and then gather the knowledge of all the dead people in the world to the closest fully together corpse. He was then struck by a fireball coming from a human and he easily dissolved. A few minutes later several more heroes showed up.

"Where is he?" They demanded.

"I killed him."

They appeared to be shocked before they calmed down and came to a conclusion. Talking to each other with telepathy the group quickly analyzed the situation.

"It's impossible for them to die that easy though isn't it?"

"It should be."

"I think he just let it get away, after all, there is no way he could kill such a lich alone."

The others seemed to not speak as if they felt their judgment wasn't necessary.

They snapped off the telepathy and quickly fired questions at him.

"Where is it's corpse?"

"How did you kill it?"

"Did you get any exp or items?"

Suddenly another one spoke

"What spell did it use?" There was no questioning sound attached to this question. It was more of an order they thought.

The man responded seemingly not intimidated,

"It dissolved, just a simple fireball, I got quite a bit of exp but no items and" he took a breath of air before continuing "It wasn't listed in the encyclopedia of spells there was none describing it. It actually just shimmered for a moment before it became weak and I hit it with a fireball."

"Crap!" A woman yelled. "This is horrible." She shrieked.

"If it's not in the encyclopedia it's a self-created spell! And those have to be strong or they aren't acknowledged by the System." The women's voice got higher and higher.

"We must find it at once! Quickly message the guild and make them look for the results."

At this moment in another location, a skeleton hand erupted through the ground and patted around. It pulled itself up and the hollow form appeared. The skeleton stumbled fell over with only Mana keeping it together. It pulled itself up once more using a cross next to it. The hand waved around as it almost broke from the stress and it waved it around for a bit.

As the sun rose it stared into the sunset at chuckled to itself. This would probably be quite demonic if the only sound that could be heard we're not clacks of bone on bone. As the blue illuminated the sky the skeleton stared and it professed it to be beautiful though it itself did not fully understand the word for while it had gained knowledge comprehension came far, far later.
