Chapter 29: Girlfriend
"Alright, it is all done!" Fa Sui finished treating Hu Ye's injury. He leaned back to look over his work. "It should be completely fine by tomorrow." He concluded.
The two of them where inside Fa Sui's work room just beside the training hall. The place used to be a storage house but was remodelled when Fa Sui came back from the academy.
"Thank you, Doctor Fa," Hu Ye said helplessly. It had only been a graze so it wasn't serious or anything painful.
"Alright, alright," Fa Sui said, putting away his tools. He glanced over his shoulder at Hu Ye, a small smirk beginning to form on his lips. "Now you can say goodbye to your girlfriend for the day."
"My girlfriend?" Hu Ye blinked twice. "What is a girlfriend?" He truly did not know.
"Aw, don't be shy, Fourth Young Master. You are young, so I understand it fully." Fa Sui cheered. "I still remember when Falcon and I were around your age. Falcon used to peek at the First Young Miss when she was going to school from the roof."
"Eh?" Hu Ye did not know what this had to do with anything.
"I went along with him, too, so we would peep together." Fa Sui went on and on till Hu Ye was rendered speechless. "It was a happy memory yet sad too because for some reason Uncle always found our hiding place. The two of us always got punished severely by him."
"Ah…"
Fa Sui sighed carelessly, his eyes staring at some far off dreamland. "I miss those days…"
"..." Hu Ye had sweat all over his face and said, "Doctor Fa, I don't know what you mean."
"Hm?" Fa Sui reached his dainty hand for the tepid tea on the table.
"So First Sister was Brother Falcon's girlfriend?"
Fa Sui spurted his tea and began coughing, his eyes wide.
"No," he denied when he could finally speak. "That's not what I—"
"Bai was…whose girlfriend?" Zhi Yu suddenly entered the room, a strangely gentle smile on his face. He loomed in the doorway.
"C–Chief Zhi Yu! A...about that..." Fa Sui's eyes flicked away nervously.
"Brother Zhi Yu, Doctor Fa said that Brother Falcon was First Sister's girlfriend," Hu Ye butted in. Fa Sui gasped, looking betrayed.
"Hmm…" Zhi Yu calmly looked at the nervous doctor, whose expression changed from pale white to blue. "Is that so?"
"Yes," Hu Ye said. He never heard the word 'girlfriend' before but he was a fast learner and, after hearing Fa Sui's story and seeing his expression, he had a good grasp of what the word meant. He looked at Fa Sui's stiff expression and had an idea.
"Doctor Fa also said that he and Falcon used to send First Sister off to school secretly everyday."
"Wait what? What are you talking about, Fourth Young master? I did not say that! We did see her about four times a week, but, I mean—" Fa Sui looked to the side and saw Zhi Yu's grim smile. "Uh, oh, Chief, I can explain—"
"Well, that sure needs a lot of explanation," Zhi Yu said calmly. "I will meet you at the training hall tomorrow. Tell that to Falcon, too."
Damnit! I am doomed! Fa Sui thought after seeing the ice in Zhi Yu's smile. I am sorry, Falcon.
Zhi Yu turned back to Hu Ye and said, "Fourth Young Master, Qing First Young Miss said that she wanted to say goodbye to you first. She is waiting near the back gate."
"I will go there now."
Hu Ye immediately straightened his clothes and stood up. He got out of Fa Sui's work room and walked toward the backdoor.
When he arrived at the place where Guang was supposed to be waiting, he found…

Somewhere in the market.
"Xiao Zi, Xiao Zi! I'm sorry, please forgive me. Where are you?" Shou shouted.
Shou was on the roof of one of a shop in the market. After he talked to Zhi Yu for a bit, he flew and went around town in search of Hu Zi.
