----

While waiting for my clones, I took out one of the twenty Epic Ranked Gacha Cards from my inventory, which I only remembered existed after using the Upgrade Card earlier. When I opened to menu to use it it gave me 50 Red Food Pill, 50, Blue Food Pill and 50 Green Food Pill. When I read the effects of them, I was amazed. The Red Food Pill could speed up healing by over 300% for a short time, the Blue Pills increase Chakra Regeneration by an additional 120% for a slightly shorter time, and the Green Food Pills recover a large amount of Stamina almost instantly.

While it was great, it gave me a not so great- No. Absolutely terrible idea, and I took out both an Upgrade Card and a Epic Gacha Card.

{Are you sure you would like to use 1 Upgrade Card on Target: 1 Epic-Ranked Gacha Card?}

I accepted- obviously, and the Epic Gacha Card was Upgraded to a Relic-Grade Gacha Card. Ecstatic that it worked, I immediately used the Relic Gacha, following a similar procedure;

{Processing... Congratulations, you got One-Time Summon Contract: Shukaku}

'....'

". . . . EXCUSE ME WHAT THE FUCK!?"

My appearance was of absolute shock, which slowly morphed into pure excitement.

'How was I able to obtain access to the One Tails so quickly!?'

After eventually calming down, I was able to think reasonably again

'Well that will be useful later, but if I summon him now I doubt I will be able to control him... Things to worry about later I guess'

After coming to a conclusion I put the Summoning Scroll into my Inventory.

'Should I upgrade the system, or use a gacha?... hmm.. I'll use them later if needed'

After a long time of searching using the [Search for Card] Function, I purchased enough cards to make a deck, then went back and bought a bunch of Potions and Food Pills from the Consumables Tab. I made sure the total Shop Point price was exactly 475 Points so that my balance would be a round number; that being 9,500 points. Sadly, I discovered that deck requirements are similar to the real game, so I am unable to make a deck of 60 Dark Holes or Reigekis.

Regret sighed

Finally, Two hours after my clones left, they finally returned from selling the equipment, along with almost eight and a half Platinum Coins. With this I could now go out and begin my plan of making an insane amount of money.

Leaving the Trade Guild, Regret went back to the town square to browse now that he could buy decent items.

Looking around some of the shops Regret saw a store selling Magic-Related items. Looking inside, he found things such as Staffs, Blank Spell Books, Spell Tomes, Orbs, Magic Trinkets, Magic Tools, and Common Lesser Mana Crystals. Regret entered the shop and bought a Blank Spell Book for 20 Silver Coins.

Unlike what some non-mages think, Spell Books / Tomes are not just any ordinary books. They are made of mana conducting paper, to make it easier to enchant and harder to destroy. In fact many already had enchantments on it, such as locking it for all but the book's owner or making the words inside invisible to others. Some higher quality books were even bound so that if the owner died or willed it to, the book would burn completely and the words inside lost.

This was important to Regret since he needed the book to be unable to be read by others, due to the high level spells he would fill it with.

In this world (the continent he is on is known as Ayix), Magic is often used with hand signs, glyphs, runes, staffs, tomes, by itself, chants, orbs, components, etc. so Regret using hand signs for ninjutsu wouldn't be considered too odd, however, many of the Magic Regret knew, did not require anything. While there are some who can use it on its own, it is usually very powerful mages, who often only used low level spells this way. Regret would be using very high level Magic, so a tome was needed for it to be believable, also, using a medium for magic use is very useful for amplifying the strength of magic as well, so it would be beneficial to use a tome anyway.

After buying the book, Regret wrote a few spells inside before storing it inside his inventory. Once it was inside his inventory, Regret began to leave before being slightly startled by a loud sound.

ROOOAAARRR!!!!!!!!

A loud echoing roar sounded out throughout Ebonfall. The deafening roar caused everyone to begin screaming, before heading outside to see what could have caused it. Many of the customers inside the shop went out, and Regret followed with them.

Outside the people saw an enormous Dragon perched on the Myriad Clan's tallest watchtower. Its body was pitch black, but its claws, teeth, wings, and eyes were glowing a venomous, cursed, shade of green. The dragon was on its hind legs, its sharp green wings extended in a menacing way.

Many of the citizens were either shaking in fear, running for their lives, or just plain screaming, but they all had one thing in common, the sheer look of pure terror in their eyes, as though everyone they knew were already dead, and that they were next. The next few minutes after the roar was pure chaos.

But now, not five minutes later, an army of 40,000 soldiers marched into the town. The people took note of this and began to relax for a moment that they would be safe, until they noticed the color scheme of the soldiers. They were wearing all black armor, their swords drawn, with the blades glowing bright green, they were wearing the colors of the Dragon.

With that, all hell broke loose, the soldiers broke formation in the center of town and began slaughtering civilians. The worst part was the power of their swords, whatever they cut would begin to both dissolve and burn with green flames. The fire wouldn't go out unless smothered, but then the dissolving would still continue, and a poison would circulate through the victim, killing them within two minutes of the original cut. The method of killing was cruel, as the soldiers would sometimes just barely cut a person and then continue on, knowing said person would die no matter what they did.

Some people tried to fight back, but died in an instant due to most of the soldiers being either Adept or Elite Ranked in Cultivation, even if there were no Mages within their ranks.

While this happened, all Regret could think was 'What the even heck!? Is this f**king Skyrim or something!?' due to the randomness of a Dragon attacking a town for no reason.

'I know this world is more high fantasy then my previous ones, but this is ridiculous!!' While thinking this thought, one of the soldiers came out and slashed his poisoned sword at me.

'What an idiot' As the sword was falling towards him in slow motion, all Regret could think about was how terrible the soldier's form was, knowing the blade was an insta-kill for most with the slightest scratch, there was no point in swinging the sword, using so much more energy than needed, the most efficient way to use the weapon would have been a small cut attack, minimizing energy usage to be able to fight for longer. (In fact Regret thought the poison would have been much more efficient with just a knife since it was an insta-kill anyway and would waste less poison) This wasn't the only mistake, the soldiers footwork, stance, balance, grip, etc. but he wasn't going to analyze everything, and the sword was the most important part of the battle to him. (AKA im too lazy to do it and it wouldn't be interesting I just wanted to show that the MC is actually not a worthless idiot like most MCs)

Seeing the soldier's terrible overhead slash at me, I side step to the right of it, before sweeping his left leg, and pushing him backwards causing him to begin falling in that same direction. But before he fell completely, I grabbed ahold of his right forearm, which held the sword, with my other hand I adjusted his wrist to force his muscles to loosen his hands grip on the sword. By this time he was already a quarter to the ground and I was able to take the sword out of his hand. With the sword in hand, I cut his head off.

The whole encounter took less then a second, the soldier had died before he had even halfway reached the floor.

Authors Note (Stupid 500 Character Authors Notes)

Hellos!

I would like to note this part of the authors note I wrote after the actual authors note. (Too many "note"s ...)

I hope you liked the combat!! (It was probably the only decent part of this chapter as it was the only part I had fun writing)

Before you ask, yes, the idea for the second half of the chapter was 200% because I was playing Skyrim.

I would like to Clarify that Regret is in Ebonfall City a Class 2 city (Class 1 being Large Cities, and Class 0 being Capital Cities) inside the nation of Toria, on the continent of Ayix. The Continent of Ayix many times larger than earth (haven't decided how much larger yet). Toria is currently at war with Sequen

I would like to say almost everything is named using fantasynamegenerators.com so yea,

(On another note: Is it sad I have 19 tabs open and aside from this, 2 are New Tabs, One is Webnovel, 5 are previous chapters / auxiliary chapters, 2 are google docs, and 7 are naruto wiki? The last one is discord but that has nothing to do with this so yea.)

Also Sorry for the 200 word extra authors note

Oh sh*t ive been working on this chapter since 11 and it's now 2:40!!

CREATORS' THOUGHTS
RegretSin RegretSin

First of all I'm sorry for the exposition.

Was this way of writing better or worse?

I took forever trying to figure out how to write in a more first person way so I'm sorry about that. (This is also why this chapter took so long (Re-Writing 5+ times along with tests))

Should I have usual RPG stats like AGI, STR, DEX, etc?

I only plan one chapter ahead, so please suggest story points if you can
