Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Suffocation

Born from a very wealthy and large clan. He owns myriad of hotel and restaurant chains. He also runs several winery and banks.
Richard grew up in an strict environment. From the young age of 3, he was taught to become an outstanding and absolute leader. He was not allowed to make mistakes for it'll depend the lives of his people.
Although he grew up in such environment, it was the family does not implement such unreasonable rules and tradition.
Most of the rules are about how one should conduct himself and serve to the family, of one should put importance of the family first.
In the clan, females were rare. They had a strong male genes. Because of that, there is also a rule that every female in the family must be respected and taken care very well. The father should not marry off her daughter for the sake of a business gain or connection. A family member can marry who he or she fancies as long as the partner can pass the parents' test.
At the age of 16, he was already engaged with the family businesses. And at 20, he became the patriarch of the family.
He married Lina Crawford when he became 22 and had their first son, Raymond, that same year. Three years after, they had their second son, Raymart. Richard and Lina were childhood sweethearts.
Lina had a good upbringing. She is a filial daughter and a good mother, very family oriented person. She also came from an affluent family therefore there was no one who disapproved of their relationship.
Sadly, Lina's third pregnancy had complications and died after giving birth. That child was very weak and fragile, Richard almost lost her too.
But miracle happened. The child held on and survived. He named her Charisse, as it was the name that Lina chose when she was still pregnant with their third child.
Richard doted on his daughter a lot. He admits that he favour her more than his two sons. But of course, he also loves his sons.
Raymond and Raymart we're different. They didn't like her behaviour. Of course they love her, she's their sister, but they just can't tolerate her princess attitude.
That is why when they received their father's distressed call that their little Charisse is in the hospital, they did not immediately postponed their business trip to rush back to the city.

Sherry was confused. It seems that there are memories in her head that she doesn't recall having.
She took a deep breath and calmed herself down. She closed her eyes and decided to sort those memories.
According from the bits of the unknown memory, she was definitely in a different world but similar to earth. The technology here is much more advance but the air is actually a lot less polluted than the earth she was from.
This girl's name should be Charisse Lin Cuevas. It was name chosen by her mother in her pregnancy. She is currently 19 and will be turning 20 in a few months.
Born and raised in an affluent family. Has two older brothers and a father. Has graduated from highschool but does not want to go to college.
[The heck! She has the means but doesn't want to go to college. How willful!]
She also found out the the Charisse of this body was a rotten brat. She only acts behave and cute in front of her father.
She took everything for granted. She asks unreasonable requests and kicked out several attendants because of a very simple mistake. Some were even not the attendants' fault.
She was really willful. She decorated her room pink as it was her favorite color. She even ordered people to renovate the room to what it looks like when she first woke up.
Charisse spends a lot. Whenever she saw pink dresses and cute stuffs, she would definitely buy it even if she does not have any use for it.
Sherry continued to dig out information. She found out that the girl had fancied a guy from a large finance corporation. The guy's father is in a business partnership with Charisse's uncle.
When the father knew that his son was being fancied by a wealthy princess, he urged his son to accept the girl. It's an opportunity for the family to soar higher.
But that guy didn't like Charisse's behaviour. He didn't agree to his father's urging. The father raged and threatened him that he will not inherit the company.
The guy wasn't worried though. He wasn't really aiming to become the heir. He ignored her whenever she meets her and didn't give her any chance to talk to him.
But Charisse kept pestering him. She followed him wherever he went and sent him messages almost every minute at night. There were even times that Charisse poured a coffee to a girl whom she thought that also crushing on that guy. Fortunately, the coffee was not that hot anymore that it didn't burn the pitiable girl's face.
The pattern lasted for two months and the guy reached in limit.
They were in a packed café that day. He was frank and turned her down in a public place. Saying that she is so childish and willful, that he despise her kind of girls. He doesn't deserve to have such kind of princess.
Charisse was stunned. It was the first time that someone rejected her. And it was in front of many people. Tears pooled in her eyes but she held it back, making her look pitiable.
But the guy was not moved by that appearance. He just sneered and left her standing in the middle of the crowd. He then dialled the number of Richard's secreatry, telling him what had happened.
As for how he got his number, it was given to him by the secretary himself when he heard about Charisse's feelings toward him. The secretary knows the girl's behaviour. He thought that sooner or later, a problem will arise.
As Charisse saw that the guy did not even bother to coax her, she angrily left the place and went home. She even pushed the worried attendant who rushed to her as the girl saw her messy and angry appearance.
Charisse slammed the door shut and hurried her face on the pillow. She cried and screamed as she can't take the humiliation. She tore the plushies she held and let out a string of curses to the guy.
As she was tearing the plushies, Charisse suddenly felt tired.
She calmed herself and felt that she was having a difficulty to breathe. She tried to call for somebody for help but had not strength to speak.
She just leaned on the headboard and tried catching her breath. But it failed. The air became less and less. She suffocated to death.
