Chapter 20: The Mimic Dimension

system: mission announcement, Due to the lack of employees and the requirement for precision control from multiple workers to operate this special whisky brewery, a mission will be given.

details: Head into the mimic dimension and earn the loyalty of the mimic aliens.
task: Kill the apex mimic and absorb it into the system to gain the recognition of all mimics.

A bright ball of energy appeared above Finn and began to grow in size until it fully engulfed Finn within and with a loud bang, the ball of light disappeared and so did Finn.
Flashes of lights sped past Finn as he travelled at hyper-speed inside a small yellow ball of energy as stars started to turn into streaks of light while he zoomed by.
Ding - system announcement: approaching space station Talos 1, be aware that station has been overrun with aliens.

While the announcement played inside his head, the sphere exited from its hyper-speed, instantaneously arriving at the space station. Upon first glance, it was a long station in the form of a T while in the middle of 5 gigantic golden rings that rotated around Talos. a few planets were in view with the earth rotating in the distance although this was a different earth, different from our young cultivator's homeworld.
Finn wakes up inside a bedroom in the residential sector. looking around the room there was only a desk with a pc and a window showing the glittering cosmos light-years away. " damn this is a nice view, but what's up with the no human count?. systems can you tell me more the aliens or something?"
system: Due to hosts strength being suffecient there will be no info. host is to complete the mission with little info. work hard young cat.
"well, that was useless. you might as well have not spoken at all. 'no info' my ass. oh well, let's have a look around eh." peeking out of the door into the hallway, Finn was met with dead silence except for the groaning engine room that quietly echoed from way down below the residential sector. Finn slipped out the door and crept along the side of the wall with his belly fur grazing the carpet. suddenly a blur of black flashed across the hallway and crashed into an office.
"the hell was that?!, minimap open" the map opened up showing a red dot inside the office labelled mimic. popping out his claws, Finn moved towards the door and jumped inside for a surprise attack
"MEOW!" an empty office greets the young cat whos just standing there on his hind legs with claws out looking like an idiot. "don't I look fucking stupid eh.(I'm Canadian so I use the word eh a lot. I'm sorry it just comes naturally to say eh to me) system is something wrong with the map? i'd like to file a complaint."
system: hosts map is functioning correctly. As for making a complaint please upgrade the system for 15000 cp to unlock the customer service tab.
"wait you can upgrade! but what the hell is this 15000 cp price tag? are you becoming a money-hungry system or something, we havent been together long and your already showing your true colours eh. also if the map isn't working then where the hell is that mimic at?"

Seeing nothing in the room after looking around Finn turns to leave. 'SCREEEEECH' " WHAT THE FUCK!" right after Finn turned around the mimic who had mimicked itself into a cup turned back into a mimic and jumped on the unsuspecting cat. The mimic grabbed onto Finn with its tentacle-like arms and tried to bite the cat while Finn was keeping it at a distance with his arms, and like that cat and mimic rolled around the floor.
"This little shit is starting to really piss me off ah screw it, Heaven's fury meow!!" an energy blast erupted outwards blowing holes the size of a parking lot into ceiling going up 4 levels, as for the mimic it got disintegrated in the blast.
" uhh i think I put too much energy into that, system is there a way to lower the energy power for 'heavens fury meow' cuz having it pour out all the energy is tiring and a waste of energy"
system: request acknowledged, now making a new ability of lower-tier derived from 'Heaven's fury meow', 1%...39%...84%...100%, ability creation completed, Lion's roar has been made and added to hosts fighting skills (ability's are also called skills just so you know), lions roar has a power level of 1/3 of heavens fury meow, work hard young cat.
"Alright, this new skill is gonna be very helpful to use" beep beep beep. the minimap alerted Finn and opened up to full screen and on the screen, tens of red dots were popping up with 2 big red dots labelled phantom typhoon mimic appeared "why is my luck so bad today" with that said Finn turned around and ran.

Polar_blue Its been a while since I typed the last chapter. it's exciting to have time to continue this story and now that I'm back with a fresh mind I can type better so it doesn't sound like a typical noob writing their first book. also ill put a challenge to me that if you the readers can get 25 power stones on the story ill immediately work on the new chapter and publish it. until next time fellow cultivators.
