Chapter 1: {Leo}
"Leo, I love you. I will always love you! I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you." The girl cried, tears streaming down her face, "Please, as long as you live, remember two things, one, your name is Leo. And two, no matter where you go, your grandfather is Jero. You are the last of the real ones, remember this, and speak to no one of it." Then her weight shifted, the smoggy sky turned dull red, like bricks. She looked down, shifting her hands to give Leo to someone.
Gasping, Leo sat up in bed, sweat soaked his shirt. He looked around, seeming to search for 'her' in the gloomy light. Seeing that nothing was there, he laid back down, closing his eyes to meditate on what the dream was about.
Morning came, an imperceptible boom rang out, signaling the crack of dawn. Hearing natures wake up call, Leo sat up once again, trying to remember what the dream was about, or if he even had one. He couldn't recall what had happened, all he remembered was being scared witless, and then waking up in a sweat soaked bed. Then he thought of what had happened after, and he couldn't recall that either.
"Leo, time for the testing!" Called Tig, "You don't want to be late for it!" The Tig of 10 years ago couldn't compare to now. Tig had worked out his body to the max to take care of Leo. Of course, Leo didn't know that and just thought that Tig's frantic workouts were for fun. Leo often liked to partake in the workout as well.
Due to working out since he was just three years old, Leo was extremely powerful for a kid wobble. He could fight a Northstar Bear to a standstill with his bare hands. Leo in layman's terms, was handsome, with dark brown hair that was closer to black, and a tall lean stature. He wasn't buff per se, he was more like a (Cough) lion in the sense that his muscles didn't bulge out.
Because Tig had worked his body to the max, he had gotten himself a wife, who was kind. She wasn't necessarily hot, and in fact, some might've deemed her ugly, but her personality was what Tig liked. She was kind to everyone, even when they treated her badly. To top it off, she was loyal and didn't go off with any Tom, Dick, or Harry.
Tig's wife was named Hana, whom, was wholeheartedly in support of Leo. She scolded him when he did something naughty and taught him proper etiquette and manners, as well as how to read and write.
On this day, Hana was out shopping for groceries as soon as the farmer's market opened. The sales and such were calling to her. Tig was at home cooking for Leo, whom just woke up. Today was the day for the 8-year-olds awakening. This was the first awakening that wobbles had to go through to get their dods.
To fully awaken their dods, the eight-year-olds would get a wristband made of Dodinium alloy. This alloy awakened their powers halfway. The newly awakened kids would then go through a test, which would rank their abilities by power. The ranking went from zero to ten, with zero being the most powerful.
The highest ranked powers would then get fully awakened. The least powerful dods would then be put into job categories. If someone ranked 10, then they would be killed outright. Tig was a 7, and Hana was a 6. They were considered commoners. Anything 5 or above was considered nobility, and those who ranked so were taken to the Dodin Academy.
Leo washed his face while looking in the mirror. He did what he needed to do, like taking a bath and brushing his teeth after eating breakfast. He dressed in casual clothes, and some basketball shoes. After doing this, he rushed out, heading to the city park where the ceremony and test would begin. Of course, he had his ID and his wallet, for proof of age and such.
