Chapter 3: The reason
I entered the room.
There were 4 oval tables with lots of blinking buttons on them,in the middle of the room was a big chair with a small round table to the side, on the table was what looked like a remote control, with several lit buttons, and beyond everything a huge window occupying the whole outer wall, the view was spectacular. I could see earth right in front of me. It was breathtaking.
There were 7 purple beings in that room, each doing something at the tables. Another "person " was sitting on the big chair, my guess was that it was the ship's captain.
He (it?) got up and walked towards me, looked at me for a few breaths time, then turned around and went back to the chair, grabbed the object that was on the table and came back to me.
He (it?) pressed a few buttons on the square object and pointed it to me.
Seeing that I didn't move or talk or do anything, it retracted it's limb, pointed the object towards himself (itself) and started making weird noises, then pressed a few more buttons and waited.
All of a sudden, a metallic voice could be heard!
Words, sentence! I could finally understand what was being said!!
-"hello, and welcome aboard our ship. Please do not be afraid, we mean you no harm."
The square object was a translation device!!
The voice stopped.
The captain then pressed the same buttons as before and pointed the device to me. It was my turn to speak. It was finally time for me to find out what was going on! So I did.
-"who are you? What do you want from me? Why am I here?" I had so many questions that I didn't even know where to start, so, after a pause, I decided I should ask the most important ones first.
When I was done talking, the captain took back the device, pressed more buttons on it, and the weird noises were heard again, this time longer and more screeching, it made my skin crawl and hair stand on end. I thought it to be very creepy.
the answer came soon after, following the same routine with the translation device, and once again, the metallic voice could be heard.
-" we are explorers, our home planet is very far away, and it is now uninhabitable due to many reasons, for these reasons we were forced to leave and look for other planets capable of sustaining life."
