Chapter 2: Brainstorming
The school day finally came to a close. "Chiki your coming over tonight right"? Ashley called out threw the crowd. "Yes", I called back.
Now I have a part-time job helping fix computers at a local repair shop. I step in and instantly I'm bombarded with questions by my boss, who is not much older then me then just a couple years.
" Chikao, my man how are you doing? how's that beautiful girlfriend of yours"? Allen yelled out from the back room.
"She's not my girlfriend Allen how many times do I have to tell you, she's just my friend". Not saying I don't like her, I thought to my self.
" Well anyways did you happen to see the new episode of how to summon a devil lolli"?
" Yessss"! I shouted.
"I couldn't believe how skimpy of a outfit the choose for her when they went to the market", I exclaimed with excitement.
" Wooo calm down I haven't got to see it yet Sushi roll decided not to pick up the second season", Allen said with a glumy expression.
"I was actually going to ask what site you watched it on"?
" Oh", I laughed out.
" I watch it on a Japanese site, but I don't think it has a English option sadly".
"Dammit", Allen said. At that exact moment I could see a light bulb go off it his head.
" Chikao", he grabbed my shoulders and shook me a little.
"Do you think you can subtitle it for me"?
Now I have no idea how to code a video for subtitles, or well anything for that matter.
" I could try I guess, but I don't know how I would add the text to the video" I explained to him.
He looked at me pushing his nerd glasses back up his nose.
"Fear not my little Chikao, for I have been making a program in the event something like this would happen"! He look as though he had thought he was a knight in shining armor, but for whom himself?
" Allen your nerds showing again" I said as I face palmed myself.
"No seriously, I've been working on a program that auto injects the code for any words typed in this line", Allen started to explain.
" It also auto matches the start an stop of the sentence as long as you punctuate right, but with you an your good grades in English that shouldn't be a problem".
Now little did I know how important this little program was going to be for the success of my app my friends and me created.
"Ok so here I go I guess", as I start trying out Allen's little creation, I notice how easy it actually was. I subbed the whole video in the 25 minutes it took to watch it. I was really impressed it was so easy.
Allen shoves me out the way as soon as I say done. " About time I've been waiting since last night to watch this", he yelled happily, as I skidded across the floor.
"Your welcome asshat", I said brushing dust off my shirt.
" Hey do you think I can barrow that program to sub some animes for Ashley "? I asked.
"Sure but on one condition you have to sub this list of animes for me till the season's end, since there Japanese only release until Fanamation starts to dub it", he said with the biggest smile on his face.
"That's fine", I said, "I watch all of these anyways, thanks man".
I ended up subbing anime the rest of my shift for him and Ashley.
