Chapter 11: Abortion
I woke up too early because I was nervous about today, today was the day that I am getting my abortion. I decided to go have a shower to calm down I was scared that it would hurt. I didn't know what to think or how to think I was just so nervous. I met Rob in the place we had decided to meet before going to the bus.
While we were on the bus Rob could see that I was getting more and more nervous so he held me in his arms and comforted me. I knew then that I could do anything with Rob by my side his simple gesture with holding me made me feel calm again.
We had planned to go to Jodie's house but she decided to come meet us at the bus stop. When I saw Jodie I was very happy that she decided to come pick us up because I was so nervous.
Rob has been my rock the whole bus trip but I don't want to ware him out before the abortion, so having my sister here too I can spread the load. We went for a walk before my appointment and we couldn't go for coffee as I can't eat or drink before the abortion.
We get to the clinic 20 minutes before my appointment so they can prep me for the procedure. Rob stays by my side until they take me into the procedure room.
In the procedure room I'm all alone with the staff no friends or family for support. I start getting nervous beyond how I have felt for the whole lead up. I start getting to the point of hysterics so they bring Rob in to calm me down while they give me a sedative.
The last thing I remember before falling asleep is Rob kissing my forehead. I woke up in pain during the procedure so they give me some pain meds.
Once the pain meds start working I ended up going back to sleep only to wake up in recovery with both Rob and Jodie by my side. The doctor comes over as soon as she sees I'm awake and tells me everything went well. They moved me to a private room soon after this.
Jodie's phone started to ring "Shit I was ment to get you to call mum" she picked up and told mum that she forgot to get me to ring when I got out of the shower then handed me the phone. "Hi mum what's up?" I said in a cheerful voice.
This seemed to pacify her she answered me with "Just wanted to make sure you got there alright and aren't going to cause Jodie any trouble."
"Everything will be fine mum I got here no trouble." now I was getting a bad pain from the abortion so I said "We are just about to walk out the door for some window shopping so I will see you tomorrow."
