Chapter 1: It All Begins (I)
5.30am: Beep... Beep...
"The alarm, did I not switch it off? Hmm..."
As she walked out of the bathroom in her bath towel wrapped around her chest. She picked up her phone and switch off the alarm and walked into her walked in closet. Unconsciously she had already opened her email and was looking through it while picking out her clothes.
Dressed in her school uniform with a wide rim glasses looking like a 14 year old, she walked out of the closet, grab her backpack and went downstairs.
"Good Morning Miss Chen Xi. The documents you requested for is ready. Do you want to take a look before going to school or after school?"
"I'll take a look at it now. Let the chief know that today's lunch I want something simple. Nothing fancy. Just what he will be planning for his grand daughter on her first day of school. And Ah Qing, tell him breakfast just porridge that he cooked for the staff is fine. I don't need those nutrition packs that my parents insist on."
" Yes Miss Chen. Before I go, Master and Madam called last evening when you were having the conference call will Korea. They informed that they will be back next weekend."
" Ok. "
She sat down on the end of the long dinning table and opened up the folder for the latest contract for her company's new proposed branch office in State B.
She is the daughter of the world largest hotel chain "Royals". Her parents have been grooming her since she was 12 years old when she was found after her kidnap when she was 6 months old. She set up her own company when a year ago and hired Qi Qing as her personal assistant to help her. Now she is 14 and is already a well known entrepreneur in the country and is known in the county as the saviour of State X.
In the business world, everyone assumes that she is a 24 year old woman who had luck on her side and revived State X's economy with her advertising company. In reality, she is a 14 year old girl that is borned in a rich family and have too much time on her hand so much so that she started this company.
Today, is the first day of school for the new year. She can't afford to be late neither does she wants anyone to know what she does and prefers to be keeping a low profile.
Once she finished looking through the documents, answered her emails and finished her breakfast, she glanced at her pink and kiddish watch on her wrist, grab her lunch and raced out towards the door and hopped onto her bike at 7.45am sharp. She needs 10 mins to peddle her way to school and off she went.
Her school is State X's neighbourhood school for the average income families, He Xin High School.
Nearing the school gates, the flowers were blooming and the scene caught her eye. While going down the slope towards her school, she just let her bike take over since that stretch of road was empty.
Taking in the scenery and enjoying the wind against her face. Suddenly, a guy came running and they collided and they fell.
"Ah... Don't!" she shouted. The body guards around stopped running and keep their distance so as not to disturb her.
"Are you alright? I'm really sorry about this." He reached out his hand to help her up. "This kitten was on the road and I just wanted to save him from your bike. I'm sorry that you got hurt."
"it is OK. I'm fine. I don't hurt anywhere." Looking at him staring into his eyes she was mesmerised. Handsome is not the word used to describe him. Her heart skipped a beat. She was not sure how long she started at him.
"we are going to be late for school."
"Ah... Right." Hopping on back onto her bike. She saw that the tires were a little bent and ended up pushing her bike to school instead. Mentally taking note to get a new bike as she rush to the school gates leaving him behind.
"He goes to the same school as me, and maybe I'll get to see him again."
