Chapter 83: The old lady
Daniel didn't think much, he took the unconscious lady in his arms and put her inside the backseat of his car.
Without caring the highway speed rules, he started driving with great high speed to reach a nearest hospital.
Daniel's face was full of tension, sweats was dropping from his forehead.
It was already 8.30 when Daniel reached at the hospital. Doctor took the lady into emergency ward.
Daniel was waiting at the lobby when doctor called him, "Mr Liu, the patient you brought is in critical condition, we need do operation as soon as possible."
"Are you her guardian? "The doctor asked.
" I don't know the lady, I just found her on the highway,"Daniel informed the doctor.
The doctor's face became a little worried, he looked at Daniel as he said with a serious expression, " Mr Liu, it seems like a little complicated, you need to report about her condition to the police station and without guardian we can't proceed the risky operation."
Daniel looked at the doctor with angry expression as he said, " You said that the lady is in critical condition and need to do the operation as soon as possible. Do you think that you have so much time to do all these formalities like finding her guardian and reporting her condition to the police station."
Daniel paused for a moment then again said,
" I am talking the responsibility of the operation as her guardian, and my lawyer will handle the matter with police station. Don't worry and proceed the operation. send the bill to me."
Doctor nodded to him and ran toward the emergency ward.
Daniel again checked his wrist watch and saw, it was 8.45. He had only fifteen minutes left until Cherry's leaving. He didn't waist more time and got inside his car.
Daniel was driving his car like crazy when his phone started to ring. He looked at his phone screen and saw an unknown number.
He didn't have time to receive a call from an unknown number, so he quickly cut the call and increased the speed of
his car.
Cherry reached at her college at 8.55 AM.
Su han ran toward her as soon as he noticed her, "Hey Usain Bolt, You are slow today " he reached his hand out to carry her bag.
Cherry delivered a gentle smile at him as she said, " Its not that heavy, I can carry this. "
Cherry got inside the bus and sat beside ming ming.
" Finally you came, I was thinking that you are not coming since your phone was switched off." Said Ming Ming.
" I broke my phone accidentally last night," Cherry paused for a moment, " can I borrow your phone for one minute,? I need to make a emergency call?" Cherry asked Ming Ming with hesitation.
Ming Ming started laughing hearing her request, " It feels like that you are not asking for my phone, like you are asking for millions dollars, we are friends right? ." Ming Ming happily gave her phone to Cherry's hand.
Cherry smiled at Ming Ming sweetly.
Cherry dialed Daniel' s number but the call was cut off after ringing for five seconds.
Cherry again called his number, but this time phone was switche'd off.
Cherry sighed deeply, " Is he that much busy?" She asked in her mind.
