Chapter 5: 'Please Don't Accept This Call At All'
Song Xia stood up and called for Li Han who was waiting for her approval to enter. ''Uncle Han, come in.''
After a few minutes, the door opened and a man in black suit came in. Guan Shan's eyes widened.
'Isn't h-he Li Han, the family lawyer of Song Family?!' he thought in fear and shock.
Li Han coldly looked at Guan Shan for a while before giving him some papers.
Guan Shan looked at the divorce papers in horror and he started looking through it. Once he read through it, he was thoroughly taken aback.
He was shocked that Song Xia was about to snatch away the property of Guan Company that she gave him when he married her!
''Because you had breached the marriage contract between you and Ms. Song, the Song Family would like to take away the property of Guan Company.
"From today, the Guan Company will be named under Ms. Song's name.'' Li Han said expressionlessly.
Song Xia also added, ''The shares of Song Family's Inheritance is going to be canceled immediately. Sign the divorce papers and live your life with your beloved Secretary Mo!''
After she said what she wanted to, Song Xia along with Li Han, headed to the door.
Guan Shan gritted his teeth and shouted, ''SONG XIA! I WON'T SPARE YOU! YOU UGLY B*TCH!''
Song Xia's smile disappeared as she heard Guan Shan's last sentence...
She froze on her spot for a while before leaving the Guan Residence.
- Inside Song Xia's Car.
Li Han had headed out to his office, assuring her that he'll take a taxi.
Song Xia insisted that she'll drop him to his office but he wouldn't agree.
So, she decided to let him be, as it won't be easy to reason with such a professional lawyer that he is.
Song Xia was lost in her own thoughts when her phone rang.
Song Xia immediately snapped out of her thoughts and answered the call right away without looking at the Caller ID.
''Hello?''
''XIAO XIA!!! WHERE WERE YOU?!'' the other line was shouting nonstop.
Song Xia put the phone away from her ear and frowned, ''Who are you?''
''XIAO XIA! DID YOU FORGET ME ALREADY?!'' Song Xia's eyes fell on the caller ID... 'Please Don't Accept This Call At All!'
She scratched her neck as she remembered who it was.
'Damn it!' She shouldn't have picked it up!
She immediately ended the call and rested her eyes for a while until her phone rang again...
She looked over at her phone and frowned again, ''Why is he calling me all of a sudden?!''
The man kept calling her no matter what.
At last, Song Xia had no choice but to answer the call...
''What is it?!''
''XIAO XIA!! WHY DIDN'T YOU PICK UP?! EVEN IF YOU DID ONCE, YOU HUNG UP RIGHT AWAY!!!'' the other line kept shouting at her.
''Ellen, calm down! Now tell me why do you keep calling me?!''
''Xia, I'm coming to China tomorrow with my best friend, Chris! Come pick me up at XXX Airport! I'm waiting for you, BYE!''
Before Song Xia could say anything, Ellen had already hung up.
'Why is he coming to China? Did I do something wrong? Wait, he even demanded me to pick him up...'
Song Xia quickly set aside her phone.
'Let's just pretend not to know anything! After all, who would want to pick him up! Yes, pretend! Pretend to forget or that you haven't answered the call at all!!'
Song Xia thought as she sighed heavily.
She'll have to divorce that cheater as soon as possible and about that Zhang Qiao..
She'll think of persuading Long Chen to rethink his decision of marrying Zhang Qiao. She just wants his money!
Without any hesitation, she searched for the caller ID [Brother Chen] and called him.
The call didn't go through the first and second time.
Song Xia frowned as she called him again. Finally, the call went through. ''Hello?'' His deep voice brought her goosebumps.
Those feelings she had had for him for such a long time, came back. Her heart raced rapidly as she heard him, ''Xia, it's you right?''
Song Xia smiled as she said, ''Yes, it's me, Brother Chen..''
What he said next made Song Xia's heart tremble and shatter into pieces, ''It feels great to be cheated on, right? Qiaoqiao told me that you ordered her to break off the marriage.
"Xia, no no, you ugly wretch, who do you think you are that you can decide whether I marry you or not?! If back then, I didn't date you, I bet you wouldn't be where you are today!''
''B-Brother Chen...''
''You don't deserve to call me 'brother'! Only Qiaoqiao is qualified enough to call me 'Brother Chen'!
"Such an ugly girl like you can't even dream to get married with a prince like me! You and I have differences of Land and Sky!

Song Xia was stumped for words. She trembled as she yelled like a madwoman.

Song Xia stopped shouting as she heard a beeping sound. He had hung up. Song Xia's tears fell like waterfall.
The driver looked at Song Xia with worried eyes as he informed her, ''Young Miss, we've arrived home.''
Song Xia wiped her tears as she nodded her head slightly, still shocked.
The driver was about to open the car door for her when he heard her say, ''Don't tell Mom that I had come back home.''
She then drove away, leaving the dumbfounded driver standing still.

Song Xia lifelessly drank the red wine on her glass and finished one more bottle. 'Differences of Land and Sky...'
Long Chen's words rang on her head continuously as she wiped the tears that started to fall. ''One more!''
The bartender was slightly worried but still gave her a bottle of red wine. She poured the red wine in her glass and drank it in one gulp.
Song Xia was going to pour another glass of red wine when her phone rang. It was 'Long Chen.'
She let out a cold chuckle and poured the red wine in her glass again. She was about to drink it when a notification sound was heard.
She read the message and balled her fists. She paid the bill and left the bar.
