'I want it to all to end'
This thought has been repeating within Luc's mind for what seems like eternity, but regardless nothing has changed.
Nothing will change.
He was going to stay here for all his life, in constant agony as men in white tear them all apart and put them back together. They were nothing but samples to be disposed of when our uses are rendered obsolete and fed to the very Grimm they worship. There was one thing that kept him from losing hope even when there was literally nothing but the gates of hell standing before me.
"What's wrong brother?"
The girl who was fast asleep next to Luc now looks at him with her tear-stricken face, eyes puffy and red.
'She must've had another nightmare'
"It's nothing Feri, your big brother's just deep in thought. Did you have another bad dream?"
Feri nodded then proceeded to snuggle up closer to me, finding what little warmth and comfort was left from her big brother.
Every night ever since we were taken to this hellhole, Feri has been having the same nightmare of that night. Their village burned to the ground. Their neighbors running in terror from the horde of Grimm. Their parents lying dead on the ground, blood draining from their corpses as we stand in the midst of it all. The group of men dressed in white who brought chaos to their village took them and brought the two here to live in this hell.
It's been roughly 6 months since then, and the torture continues for the two Faunus children. Not only them, but all the children kept in these cells were Faunus children taken from their homes. The sole reason why is simple in the eyes of the Brotherhood, because they only see Faunus as nothing more than animals that must obey them without question.
"I don't want to be here anymore."
"Neither do I Feri… neither do I"
As they huddle together to keep warm, the sound of footsteps echo throughout the hall as one of the researchers came to collect the viable 'candidates' for his next experiment.
The researcher turns to the cage that Luc and Feri reside in and uses his ID Badge to unlock the cell door
"Alright, let's see here. Subject #582 and Subject #583, you are to proceed to Test room 5 for further tests. Stray from the path and you will be killed."
Luc and Feri slowly get up from their spot and went in the direction of the testing room, Feri shaking from fear of what will come.
"Don't worry Feri. It'll all be over really quick, you'll see."
Putting on a front, Luc tries to calm her down a little.
Little did he realize that his words will come true tonight. In the worst way.
"Subjects 582 and 583 have entered the tubes, vitals are sound and heart-rate steady. Ready to start Project 'GRIMMOIRE'"
The leader of the Brotherhood Arthur himself has come to oversee the final stages of his masterpiece as he stares at the two goat Faunus in the tubes. The one on the left was a boy around 13 years or so with scraggly black hair and large twisted horns on his head, his frail body on the edge of starvation. The one on the right with long black hair and smaller horns was a bit more promising as she was younger, healthier, and in much better shape. If this project succeeds not only will he be able to create an army of new Grimm, but he will be one step closer to being one with his Queen Salem.
"Then what are you waiting for? Initiate Project 'GRIMMOIRE' immediately!"
"Yes sir! Initiating project 'GRIMMOIRE'."
The machines whir to life as a black substance is pumped through the tubes connecting to the Faunus children, creeping close and closer until the black ooze is slowly injected into their systems.
"Subjects are still stable, now commencing bonding sequence."
At the command a second liquid is injected into both of them. Seconds pass, and those seconds turn to minutes. Arthur was starting to grow impatient over the silence of it all and approached the lead scientist at the console.
"Is there something wrong with the subjects that is delaying the transformation?'
The head scientist was sweating bullets from this minor complication as he searches for what may be causing a delay in the transformation.
"We're trying to find the problem but it's not showing up on any of our systems."
"Well doctor. For the good of the new world and your life, I'd suggest you find the problem and correct it immediatel-"
The warning lights flash a bright red as both subjects wake from their anesthetic induced sleep and writhe in pain as their muffled screams fell on deaf ears.
"What the hell is going on!?"
"Not good. Our systems are malfunctioning and the machines are going haywire. Origins are still unknown as to the cause!"
As the scientists' scramble to find an answer, the male Faunus looks to his sister who had just died right in front of his eyes.
Seeing his sisters body go limp had finally pushed him into the empty void of sorrow that he had tried to avoid for so long.
'NONONONONONONONONONO! OH, GODS NO!'
The pain of losing his sister hurt more than any form of pain he felt before, because for the first time in his life he was now truly alone in this hell.
'GODDAMMIT ALL TO HELL!'
The feeling of loss was slowly being warped as he turns towards the people outside the tube.
To the people who burned his village and killed his parents.
To the people who took his sister away from him.
'They're the ones who did this.'
'They ruined everything.'
'I'll kill them!'
'I'LL FUCKING KILL EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE OF THEM! I'LL KILL THEM AND THEIR FUCKING QUEEN UNTIL NONE ARE LEFT!!'
