Chapter 2: The Parks
Gia closed the door of her room then returned and sat down on her bed still shaking her head while smiling thinking her conversation with her mother a while back.
She is already 16 years old but her parents treat her like a baby and a breakable precious gem since she is their only child. Being pampered, she has fair skin as white as snow. She got her mom's small and delicate face and her dad's cute nose.
The most noticeable asset on her face is her naturally long and thick lashes and her big brown dreamy eyes that seem to always ready to cry.
She got one of the big stuff toys on her bed and hugged it while turning around to look at the big family picture is framed and attached to the wall near her bed. She then looked around the corners of her pink-white room decorated with some girly kinds of stuff. She feels so lucky and she can't be thankful enough of having her mom and dad as her parent.
Though she was born and raised with a silver spoon on her mouth, she has grown up to be a good and obedient child. Her parents are known to be kind and humble people and she took them as a role model.
They are currently living in a 3-story villa inside an exclusive and well-guarded subdivision and she is studying in one of the most exclusive high schools in the city and 3 months from now, she will be graduating. She is so excited to become a university student.
Unifel Manufacturing Corporation is her dad's company inherited from his parents. The company originally just manufacture laundry and bath soaps, but due to his dad's hard work and talent, their company grew. From one manufacturing plant, now they have five building and they produce more products.
Their company is not one of the major players in the soap manufacturing industry, but their products are displayed to supermarkets around the country.
The Parks, their family is not considered to belong to the elite society in the city, nevertheless, they are still able to enjoy some privileges not most can have.
Today is the 30th year anniversary of their company. To celebrate a party will be held in a banquet hall. Her parents just left for the party.
As a daughter of the owner, she should attend the party to be introduced but her parents agreed not until she finished high school. They just wanted her to enjoy her teen and school years before they introduced her responsibilities and bring her to be familiarized with the company's work.
