"I'm sorry, but we can't accept you"
If I got a dollar for how may times I had heard that this year alone I'd be rich.
Walking out of the Vincent's corporation. with my favorite brown suit and my matching brown file in my hand. I looked back at the building.
"I failed again huh" I thought to my self.
This was 14th interview this week. All year I had been searching for a job and today marked my sixth month of searching. I guess getting a job wasn't easy at all, even for someone like me. I was starting to get used to the process, go into a company for an interview, come out without a job. It was becoming a part of me. As i headed for my car I had a lot on my mind so I wasn't really watching where I was going. The next thing I knew I was on the floor. Coming back to reality I realize I had bumped into a young lady.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't watching were I was going" I apologized as I got up. I stretched my hands towards her to help her up
"Do you know how expensive this suit is" she snapped
"I said I'm sorry" I apologized again
"Sorry for yourself"
I withdrew my hand and studied her as she helped herself up. She looked like all this rich over pampered daddy's girl who got whatever they wanted when they asked. I didn't want to be entangled with the likes of her so I just walked away. I got into my car and drove away.
Today just wasn't my day.
