Chapter 20: Harder Training than before :(
Few days after the birthday party Shen Yue started a harder training regime.
He was now tasked with doing 500,000 for each of his exercises (e.g. push ups, sit ups, squats and more) and he had to hammer iron 1 million times everday from now on. Not only that but his father started yesterday teaching him how to fight with the Blood Dagger.
[Flashback]
Swoosh!
Shen Yue hacked sideways with the blood dagger at a mannequin.
"No! Your stance is wrong, it's flimsy and you can't utilise the full potential. Most of all...you are not one with the knife." his father coldly spoke, he was like a drill instructor showing tough love to his son.
"Becoming one with the blood dagger? How do I do that?" asked Shen Yue after all he is from Earth, they didn't have any supernatural powers, he wasn't used to this kind of stuff.
"Imagine that the dagger is you and that you are the dagger. Both you and the dagger have to balance each other out..." Shen Hong kept giving his lecture on how to utilise the dagger, most of them were hints, they were passed down from generations, everyone had a different style it's a matter of making their own style of fighting so then they can utilise the their potential.
"Yes father!" Shen Yue took a deep breath and closed his eyes, he understood that he has to be calm and relaxed yet at the same time concentrating so that he has his eyes on his enemies. This would be tricky for most people but Shen Yue isn't most people.
Swish!
Shen Yue opened his eyes as they had a fierce light in them; he lopped off the mannequin's head with ease
"Good!" said Shen Hong who observed Shen Yue's progress in using a dagger.
[End of Flashbacks]
Shen Yue was practising the Infernal Tempest Hammer again, he tried 100 times already but failed again. He tried to increase the rate of hammerings per second that did slightly better than previous tries but now he was all exhausted and needed rest.
Master Kang came in and saw the mess Shen Yue left the room in.
"You'll manage it someday but right now can you clean up the mess you left in my work-space. Oh! I forgot to give you these." Master Kang handed Shen Yue dozens of talismans that had inscriptions on them. "These are gravity talismans, the ones with red inscriptions increase gravity by twice, the ones with silver increase gravity by five times and the ones with gold increase gravity by ten times. Use these by placing them on body parts, whilst you're doing exercises with these gravity talismans the results you get will be better once you get adjusted to the gravity; your body will get stronger. Next week I'll teach you how to make inscriptions starting with these gravity talisman's." Said Master Kang.
Shen Yue spent an hour tidying up after himself and went to the hill that he always goes to train.
"See ya later Han." Waved Shen Yue to the clerk of Secret treasure Pavilion.
On the hill...
Shen Yue took his top of and then wrapped the talismans around his arms, plastered one on his back and two on his ankles; all of the gravity talismans were the 2X gravity. The gravity after a few seconds increased and Shen Yue felt heavier and felt like he was being crushed.
"This is harder than it looks." Shen Yue starting doing push ups on the hill that had the view of a setting sun.
