Chapter 12: The Academy and New Friend?
The following morning.
Touma is currently with Kushina walking towards the academy as it is his first day of school. He is excited of the prospect of making his first friend/s.
"Alright Touma, we're here! This is the academy you, make sure to work hard and listen your teacher okay?" Kushina said with a cheeky grin.
"Yes Neesan! I'm going to behave and make lots of friends!" Touma said with an excited voice.
Kushina left Touma with his teacher(Who will not be introduced as he has no significant part in the story, let's just call him Teacher A).
"Alright class we have a new student joining us today. Please introduce yourself."The teacher said with a smile.
"My name is Uzumaki Touma, It's nice to meet you. I'm going to be the strongest shinobi and best medic in the world!" Declared Touma full of determination.
The class was shocked by his enthusiasm and the girls interests were piqued by the handsome red haird boy.
"That's a big dream you have there Touma, I'm sure you're going to achieve it someday." Said the teacher with a gentle smile.
"Thank you sensei." Touma replied while grinning cheekily.
"Now go sit down on the empty seat beside Mitsune-chan." The Teacher beckoned Touma.
Touma looked at where the teacher was pointing and he saw a beautiful girl with white eyes and a weird tattoo on her forehead. Touma heard about a clan with similar features she seems to be from the Hyuga clan. The girl looked at him briefly before returning to look forward again.
"Hi! My name is Touma!" Touma said trying to talk to the girl.
"I know, with the way you introduced yourself earlier it would've been stupid if I still don't know your name." The girl said without even looking at him.
Touma blushed and looked down with a hint of shame.
"I'm Mistsune, Hyuga Mitsune. Nice to meet you.'' The girl said with an indifferent voice.
Touma looked at her and regained his energy. "She doesn't seem to be so bad after all." He thought while smiling.
The class went off with a hitch Touma managed to interact with the other students and made friends with them. Most of them invited him to play but he declined as he has something to do after school.
While walking towards the hospital he saw the Hyuga girl walking in the same direction in front of him. He thought of greeting her but suddenly thought of what happened earlier so he didn't just continued walking.
After a few minutes the girl sped up, so Touma sped up, after that the girl suddenly ran and Touma ran as well. The girl stopped and looked back.
"Why are you following me?!" Mitsune shouted with an annoyed tone.
"I wasn't following you! I just happen to be going to the same direction as well!" Touma hurriedly explained.
"Hmph! Then why did you speed up when I did and ran when I did?" Mitsune scoffs at what Touma said.
"I thought something happened and someone was chasing us. I got startled so I started running with you." Touma said while blushing.
Mitsune sighs "By the way you answered questions at the class earlier, I thought you were pretty smart. Turns out you were an idiot after all."
"Hey! I'm not an Idiot! I'm a genius you know!" Touma said trying to defend himself.
"Okay Mr.Genius, where are tou off to anyway?" Mitsune giggles while asking the boy.
Touma was a little dazed at the girls smile
"Hey! What happened to you?! I was asking you a question?!" The girl pouts at him.
"I'm going to the hospital to learn how to heal." Touma excitedly said after regaining his compusure.
"Oh right you did mention you wanted to be the best medic. I guess we will be classmates in there too." Mitsune smiles.
"Really? You're learning how to be a medic too?" Touma excitedly asks.
"Yup, I want to be famous for my medicine skills, since it's a lot easier for me to learn them with my byakugan." Mitsune smiles at Touma.
"That so great! But it's weird." Touma said with a confused face.
"What's weird?" Mitsune asked with a questioning gaze.
"You seem so nice to talk to right now and you smile a lot! Why were you so cold earlier at the class? You look so pretty when you smile!" Touma said with a happy grin.
Mitsune whole face turned red at what Touma said. "Wha- wha- what are you saying all of the sudden?! Want me to beat you up?!"
"What's wrong? I just said you were beautiful." Touma said with a confused tone.
"Shut up and walk faster! It's your first day and we might get late for our training!" Mitsune turned around walking faster while blushing.
Touma looks at her with a confused face and just smiles. He walks faster to catch up to her.
