Chapter 1: The end and the beginning
I am in my bunker, frozen, starved, I need water and the nuclear reactor that I build doesn't work anymore. That means no electricity, no energy, and what I need to survive needs energy. I'm walking in a circle.
My brain can't work well anymore, the AI chip that I programmed is extremely low on batteries, the part of that chip implanted on my spinal bone that monitor my health can't do anything more for me. The electrocardiogram on my left starts to show signs of activation... Maybe a little bit of battery is left??? Maybe I have some hope??? With that energy I can recharge my chip, boil ice to make water. I move my body in the direction of the machine, try to push some buttons and I encounter nothing, the air, an other hallucination like many before... I've been nearly dead for so long, I can't even see what is real and what is just a creation of my spirit...
I suddenly find myself in a white room, totally white, so white that I don't even know that I am in a room or if the world is white... I'm lost, my thoughts are not even understandable... I suddenly hear a feminin voice...
Voice: Hello my child, you are the last one.
Me: Sorry? The last one of what?
Voice: The last living being that have thoughts. There aren't any humans or any other animals left on this planet. And my end is near.
Me: So I can still dream of my young days when I thought that god come and save me from death...
Voice: I'm not god, I'm Gaia, the Earth, and I don't come to save you but more like to reward you... As I said my end is imminent, I will implode in no time but hopefully the energy released by the collapse of this planet will be enough to tear through the dimension veil and allow you to reincarnate without passing through the erasure of your memory. Maybe you will have more, maybe you won't even pass to another dimension, nobody knows.
Me: I'm surprised that my brain can still think so deeply... So either I'm going to die in the next moment and you are just my imagination, or you are real and I have some little hope to survive... Little is better than zero so let's hope that you are real... Rest in peace and be energetic. Adios!
And the white world is more white, and white, whiter than the whitest thing... Then it's black, or more red, I don't know, let's just rest, in peace.
