Chapter 6: 6 Misunderstanding
'Hey family' she shouted but I ignored her like how my aunt Celine's children avoided her and left the table she sat on.
'Is that her dude?' as a response Third shrugged and looked at me
'You should tell me who the groom and I will tell you who the bride is' I said and they changed topic already some of the groomsmen was introduced to me as I introduced my friends but no one mentioned who is the bride or groom but I think I knew who it is already.
I sneak out of the comfort room for a second I am proud of how my family handle the situation and also with Laura being around.
'If that is the bride I think they don't match at all, I mean Third is a good guy' and it is confirmed I found my groom
'And have you seen some of them not talking to her?' I think these are Third's family friends they talk like they were not that close
I came out off the cubicle and they stopped talking, they were in front of the mirror retouching their faces but before I went out
'Are you sure she's the bride?' I asks and went back to my friends but someone has been calling me nonstop I walked outside when I read the text
'You should have just come in, you're my special guest' he's my by choice brother Anthony Kim he's a Korean and when he studied here in the US my parents became his poster parent. We're really close but i don't know why he was shy
'I just wanted to asks you first' he whispered and that made me smile really? What is the question
'I can buy you a ticket and give you a house at Korea to hide'
'That idea is amazing but Tony, what about my job here? I love my job and you know that this is just a marriage I'll work things out' we went in with his arms around my shoulder and we are laughing he was greeted by my friends and my cousins we went to my parents, aunts and uncles table and when they saw him mom hugged him tightly
'How are you? You should have called so I could send someone to pick you up'
'Mom it's okay, I just settled on my unit a few days so I can't call'
'You moved here?' that is a news for me and my parents
'Tony you should have called me to help you I was just here the whole week'
'It's already done anyway then I got a call from Ben about the wedding so I came and mom sorry I didn't get to take your calls I had been busy with work'
Tony being clingy to me and laughing with my cousins created more misunderstanding, Nelson telling everyone he's my boyfriend I never talked about maybe because he behaved like my boyfriend.
'Anyway where's Ino? You should have brought them with your wife' Yup he is married, I'm sure he brought his family here or I will scold him to death.
'They will be here tomorrow morning, they are with Olive's relative in the island so I left them there and pick them up later'
'Good' We were reminiscing my embarrassing moments at our house that my cousin's never heard off and even my friends
'We should have asked you when we did her bachelorette party' I might be embarrass now but I can't change that now and that is a fun memory to remember that I was once a child and a stupid one. I mean everyone of us had those stupid moments, writing love letters to your crush but you never got to give it because you are too shy, and maybe once we had our diary and we wrote what we hated and why we hated things or even people.
I went with Tony picked up his family
'Hey Ino' he looked at me at first he is just two he might not recognized me the last time I saw him because he was just a baby.
'She's daddy's sister here in US Ino, she's your aunt Katie' I bowed and greeted him
'Hi' he said shyly and hide at the back of her mom, he's so cute.
'Congratulations' Olive said infront and looked at me from the front mirror
'Thank's I guess, I am still between confuse and anxious I really couldn't take enough sleep the whole week and maybe I can't sleep tonight as well'
'That's normal, I couldn't sleep as well the night I will marry Tony but I was excited and nervous but once you see your groom waiting for you, you will forget everything and reminisce how you met, how you became a couple, how you survive fights' but that is not my story, not at all
'Well I got no memories, I never knew him at all except that he's 5'9 according to Bea, photographer that's it, that's all I got' they laughed at me, Ino fell asleep at her mom's lap
'Your cousins' marriage worked out you can work it out' she said while we were going out of the car. Tomorrow is the wedding what should I do? Now it is all getting to me, I'm nervous for tomorrow can I lie and say I do? Well, I said yes to this set up so I do wanna marry but I believe in marriage with love involve in it.
'Good night' I send them at their room and proceeded at my room, my big room but ut felt empty, do we even have a house to live ready? Do we shop for our beds and furnitures? should I hire an interior designer?
I woke up from my friends noise they came to my room
'You looked' they stopped
'I just fell asleep ten minutes ago' I said and cover my face with the pillow and shoo them away
'So after you left your cousin made a ruckus at the dinner she shouted 'WHO'S THE GROOM? I WANNA MEET HIM NOW' and they even copied how Laura did it
'And the other family looked at your cousin disappointed, your parents apologize and tell that she is drunk' that bitch... she really ruins everything, I mean we accepted her fully adn treated her like one of us but she chose to create an issue to make us cousins fight one another so we ended up closing our doors for her after a lot of chances. The wedding will start at three p.m. and at eleven I had my brunch as they think of what hair style should I wear and what make up should I have.
A letter was sent to me after I gave my watch gift to my groom with a letter I thank him for the ring and me joking about meeting him at the altar and I will not be the bride who run away.
