Chapter 6: Quest Rewards
" Congratulations host for completing your first quest. Rewards will be given after calculating."
"The reward for completing the quests are:
•Slavery seal removal.
•Low gade healing pills ×5.
•Inventory unlocked."
" Slavery seal is removed as a reward for completion of main quest.
Inventory is now unlocked for completing first quest.
Low grade healing pills are rewarded for satisfying the hidden condition - escape the capital city with help of royalty. "
"Low grade pills are deposited in the inventory. Now the slavery seal will be removed. "
At that time Melvin saw a small yellow bar slowly being filled and completely turned into a blue. When the bar turned blue, Melvin felt as if some shackles being removed from his body. It became easier for him to walk.
"The slavery seal has been removed." system notified Melvin.
The man with scar also saw some changes on Melvin. But he didn't took it into heart.
Slowly they reached a training ground outside the city. As soon as they entered into the training ground, Melvin saw a large amount of soldiers training at one side of the ground. Then he saw some people waiting at other side watching the training of soldiers with astonishment.
As he neared the second group of people, he realized that almost all the people were from the slums. Most of them were wearing old clothes with patches on it. Melvin realized that they were also people who came for participate in the recruitment programs. Most of them were small children about an age of 9 to 12. There were a few youths in them too.
As they neared the people they were also looking back at them. They looked at the man with respect and awe. After that they looked at Melvin with astonishment . After nearing them the man looked at Melvin and said "You will be waiting with them.". After that he left. Melvin looked at the back of man and said "Thank you, sir".
After the man walked away the people where looking at Melvin, but they didn't talked to him. After sometime they began to talk between themselves . None have gone near Melvin and talked to him.
This didn't affect Melvin as he began to check the functions of system. He looked at his status and saw that the part about the slavery seal is gone. Then he saw sword mastery in skill section and he saw it being locked. "System, why does the sword mastery seem to be locked? " he asked the system in his mind.
" Currently the body of host is very weak. So host cannot handle the pressure produced when the skill sword mastery gets unlocked." replied the system.
" When can I unlock it ? " asked Melvin.
"When host obtain a spirit vein and can practice cultivation, the system will automatically unlock the skill." replied system.
After hearing that Melvin released a sigh. He realised that only a cultivator can be strong in this world and to be a cultivator he need spirit vein. But his spirit vein was stripped away from him. Luckily he had the heaven defying system with him. Otherwise he would have been a mortal his whole life.
After that he began to check the functions of inventory. He saw few boxes arranged rows and columns. All of them expect one is empty. in that single box he saw some white pills.
