Chapter 3: How Clich´e
In the dark depths of space, amongst the brilliance of the stars a small ball shaped pod streaks across the cosmos.
Inside the pod a practically newborn child is waking up to see the most beautiful blanket of stars twinkling in his eyeline.
(Baby:.....Stars?.....Sooooo pretty.)
He started to move his tiny body only to find himself connected to tubes that were attached to his belly button and bottom, there was even a mask connected to his face, while his whole body was in some sort of liquid.
(Baby: Where am I?...Am I.....a baby?)
*BEEEEEP* -HOST IS NOW AWAKE. CONTACTING PRIMARY SYSTEM DIRECTOR-
-PLEASE WAIT FOR CONNECTION-
(Baby: "!" What was that noise?)
Suddenly the poor baby heard the worst sound it'd ever heard and possibly would ever hear and started to cry. (Note:It's an old school AOL dial up internet connection tone)
(Baby:WHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY!?!?)
-CONNECTION HAS BEEN MADE-
The baby thanked the stars he was flying through that the noise was gone when a very pretty female voice spoke in his mind.
[???:Hey there D how's the new body?]
(D:Who are you? Why did you make me listen to that horrible sound?)
[???:*Laughs* Sorry 'bout that D we just thought it be funny. My name's Mia we're old friends.]
The baby somewhat doubted that but it did seem like she was familiar with him, so let's just continue talking.
(D:Friends?....but i'm a baby?.....wait....how do I think so well as a baby?)
[Mia: Oh man, I didn't think you'd give up that much of your memory. You are one crazy dude ya know that.]
(D:I gave up my memories?? Why? Who am I?)
[Mia:Uhhhhh...Long story short you died in your previous world, then you made a deal with my dad to do some missions to help build you a body to be reincarnated into. After that you decided to give up memories to give you some cheats to help in your next life.]
(D:That sounds....soooo dumb.*sigh* What the hell was i thinking? They better have been worth it old me.)
[Mia:It's....uhhhh *laughs* Well I think it'll be interesting.]
(D:I don't know if I like the sound of that. So how do you fit into this situation Mia?)
[Mia:*Ugh* I lost a bet to you so now I have to babysit you till....well the foreseeable future. I'm basically your main system navigator. I help you with all your system needs.]
(D:What system?)
The little baby imagined a look of shock on the lady's face.
[Mia: You must've given away all your memories except the bare minimum to be asking that question.]
Baby D frowned and made grumpy baby sounds at this.
[Mia:It's a reincarnation system. This system allows you many things. The basics of which are a status screen, the right to earn points, and a shop to spend said points.]
The baby D let all the news sink in while looking out at the nebulas streaking by not thinking anything to let everything settle in his newborn head.
Having thought about all that was said he felt that something was off. Granted he was missing most of his memories, it still felt wrong.
(D: I think some things are missing in this system, Mia)
[Mia: Nope. Currently this is all you have right now, every other function is locked untill the pre-reqs are met.]
Baby D made another sour face as tears appeared in his baby eyes, only to be absorbed by the liquid.
(D: You are a very unhelpful system navigator!)
[Mia:*SCOFF* Don't blame me for choices you made brat! AAAARRRRGHHH WHY DID I LOSE THAT BET!?]
(D: DON'T YELL AT ME I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER A BET)
Baby D started to cry and flail in his pod, while it seemed that Mia was whacking her head against an object cursing herself.
After taking a few moments to calm down the two apologize to each other and try to get on track.
(D: So what do I do now Mia?)
[Mia:Well, nothing.....for now. Your new parents have sent you away to your soon to be new home and it's gonna take a few years to get there.]
Once again the tiny baby made his grumpy face.
(D:YEARS?? That's so long)
[Mia: Good thing your system navigator is here then, I've got you D.]
*Host has opened "Gift from Yourself 1"*

Baby D stared at the information given to him. He stared in absolute silence for a full five minutes before thinking to Mia...
(D: Theese names...why?)
[Mia: Dunno. Guess you thought it'd be easy to understand this way.]
(D:*Sigh* I guess so.....But how do i read theese things?]
[Mia: Simple. You be a baby and sleep and then while you're unconcious you can read it in your dreamscape. You should probably do that till you get to your new home]
Baby D thought to himself that, that was a good idea but shuddered at the thought of talking to himself for an unknown period of time then decided to just ask.
(D:Will you be there too?)
Mia found this funny and wanted to rub his tiny, bald head with affection.
[Mia:Not all the time, but mainly yea I'll be there D.]
(D:Alright let's do this then. Start Playlist please Mia.)
[Mia:Roger,Dodger *salutes*]
Baby D took one last look at the freedom of space and the brilliant starlight as the sound of a piano played in his head while he closed his eyes the name of the song appeared.
(D:"Drops of Jupiter" by Train. How apropos *laugh*)
