Chapter 3: The Real Purpose

"Meep..."

Leon stared blankly at his creation. He used his only Sentient coin to create a simple creature. It had the same limbs and structure as a human child with a huge round head. Its skin was purple and its face consisted of two black bead like eyes and a mouth without lips. He named it Meep, the creatures purpose was to keep to the sunflowers.

"How do I make him not say his name, like actual words?"

Stanley shrugged, "using a Tech Token is the only feasible option."

Leon bit his lip, the small creature staring blankly up at his creator, a sparkle in his bulging black eyes, "Meep"

A warm breeze washed over them as Leon sat in the dirt, now on eye level with the creature, "How do I use a Tech Token exactly?"

"You ask for it and think of a vague idea which then you push that idea into the creatures mind. You can also instead place my conscience in said creature."

The God's mind filled with curiosity as Meep started to dig with his muffin like hands. "I can place you in another body?"

Stanley hesitated before speaking, "Yes, you can place me in a creature and freely take me out, although I highly recommend you don't do th-"

Stanley was ripped from Leon's mind and placed into Meep's, the creature going wide eyed as his conscious changed. Meep blinked rapidly before looking down at his body, his small stature making him jump from confusion.

Leon stifled a laugh as he watched an angered expression develop on Meep's face. Stanley was in there, now merged with Meep, "Meep, Meeeeeep!"

The creature fumed as it jumped up and down wildly before it attacked Leon. Puny purple muffin hands hit Leon's stomach in rapid punches, not a single effect had on him.

"Meep, Meep, Meep!"

Leon held his hands up in defense, "alright, alright, alright..."

Stanley was consumed back into Leon's mind, a weird fuzzy feeling echoing through his body.

"Master, I am very displeased with your actions."

Leon wiped a tear from his eye, "It was only a joke Stanley, Don't get mad."

Stanley stayed quiet.

"Stanley?"

"Master, this "is" fun and all but I think its time you learn the next part of this game."

Leon's joyous expression faded as his servant's grew dark. "What do you mean next part?"

Stanley sighed heavily in his mind, the servant thinking of his words, "I'm sure you noticed the counter and I'm sure you are still curious right?"

A quick glance up at the counter brought shivers down his spine. The "till invasion" still stuck in his head. "Yes, maybe I am."

"You are not an idiot Master, you can guess what most of it means."

Leon swallowed hard as the white void flickered for a second. It did this when he felt uneasy of what was to come.

"Explain it more Stanley, knowing is half the battle."

"Every so often a World will be invaded by another to simulate an excursion of war."

The mention of war brought distraught memories of his final moments and the moment his dad had to leave. "Why would we need to simulate war, isn't that something we should avoid?!"

"The True Creator is not unwise, he knows that no matter what he does, races will fight against others or against themselves. Bloodshed is inevitable in all cases."

Leon looked at his hands, the idea of letting his creations die would surely make him emotional. The glance he took of Meep running in circles made his heart flutter, he would not let anything he made die.

"Why doesn't he just stop them, he is all-all powerful?"

"No Master, the one thing no God can take away is free will, something that has never been successfully done in all of eternity."

Leon laughed ironically, it seemed free will was a curse as it was as much a blessing.

"So how do you think I should prepare, I never thought I would create a world of war?" Leon let his expression show as he got up and trudged over to the edge of his world. For some reason he had to be here, Stanley would explain.

"This line is the end of your world," a red thin glowing line appeared, it encased the north side of his creation. Sunflowers did not even sway over the line, an invisible wall stopping them.

"We call it the Gate. Once the other creator invades, his Gate will appear here and there will be an entire day were both of you fight for an objective."

Leon tried to stretch his hands over the line but a barrier of sorts stopped him, one that was engraved into his mind. "What objective is that?"

"If he manages to reach your spawn area and inhabit the circle for five minutes, he is granted three of each token while you will lose one of each. All rules are at play. Also if you lose three times, your world will be terminated."

"Jesus Christ,"

Leon turned toward were his spawn area was sitting quietly. The circle of trees miniature from a distance, only a half mile separating it from the Gate. A lump formed in his throat as he turned toward the white void, not a single sign of life to be scene.

"You see Master, there are four things that make up a successful World. The ability to wage war, fertility, humanity, and law. If you cannot balance all of these aspects, your creations will collapse and you will fail."

Leon whistled as he turned his back to the Gate, "Sounds like responsibilities, something I'm not so great at managing."

"Do not worry Master, you have made me have no regrets, your ability will shine as you progress on your path to be the one true god."

Wind that Leon unconsciously made skated by, pushing him toward his Spawn. Meep danced happily as the sunflowers covered his torso.

"You really need to pick being a depressed dictionary or a motivational Father Stanley, switching is driving me insane."

"I act based on your emotions Master."

Leon stared up toward the non existent sky, he noted that he would create that next so he could stare at the blue nothingness.

"How are my emotions at the moment?"

Stanley also looked up toward the white sky, a sparkle as his Master kept his gaze calm.

"Tranquil and intense," Stanley spoke softly, Leon inhaled the familiar scent of the sunflowers.

"Dad, who is God?" Six year old Leon asked as he tugged his Father's overalls. The sunflower field soaked from previous rainfall.

"You go to church every Sunday, how do you not know?"

Leon puffed his cheeks in frustration, "I'm six dad, all I get from church is that he's important."

The aging man chuckled and patted his black hair, "Well..."

His Father picked up Leon and sat him on his right shoulder. A finger was pointed toward the clouds that slowly disappeared into the horizon. In their death, the small circle of the familiar star appeared, a ray of sunlight hitting Leon's face. For a moment all was quiet as the rays made the area seem beautiful, like you wanted to instantly snap a picture to never forget.

"That feeling is what God's purpose is, to make his creation feel special. Even if some hate him or don't believe, as long as they smile, everything is okay."

"As long as they smile?"

Leon questioned to himself, monarch butterflies leaving the sunflowers and aiming toward the sun.

"Stanley."

"Yes Master?"

"I will never allow anyone to hurt this world. I will use every ounce of my existence to make sure I can keep watching over it."

"Splendid Master!"

Leon almost jumped as Meep touched his calf.

"Meep?"

Leon smiled, "Everything will be alright Meep."

"Meep!" The creature jumped happily as it ran around Leon with a happy expression.
