Chapter 4: Chapter 4- Elf village
Following Rei out of the room, I finally realized that I was in another world.
Before, when I was still inside the room, I did have a passing thought that it looked like it was curved inside a tree, but now, standing outside I felt like losing my mind.
...the room was actually curved inside a tree, and a humongous tree non the less. Big as the skyscrapers on my original world.
Surrounding The tree were other trees not losing to this one in size, and little bridges going from one tree to another connecting between all of the. In the middle of the trees was a tree so big it's possible that it was as large and tall as the Empire State Building.
This is a sight one cannot describe with words only for it's beauty, and for a minute or two I just stood there and tried to process this kind of 'never before seen' sight.
Seeing my reaction brought Rei a great deal of satisfaction.
"Don't tell me you never been to an elf village before? Now days our villages are very popular with travelers and adventurers. This is already counted as a common sight in this world."
Hearing her words I snapped out of the confusion.
She just said this is an elf village!!!!!!!! No way in helllll!!!! Elves are real?!?! Elves like in fantasy story's, where the protagonist get transmuted to a parallel universe only to find himself in a harem of beautiful elf woman that are fighting for his love? God! Do I finally get my chance in life for my very own harem? This is every otaku life long dream!!!!
Wait.....
Rei said this is an elf village but she don't look like an elf...
"Seishin-San, are you perhaps an elf?"
"Yeah, see?"
She said and showed me her ears who were covered before by her long silver hair.
Her ears were longer from human ones by no more then one centimeter but had a very pointy end.
Elves are real!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!
I can die happy now!
Well not really die. I just got my life back.
Wait a second...I did just got my life back....
Memories from the incident before (chapter 2) suddenly entered my mind. The reason I'm in this village in the first place is because someone injured me. I have to find out more about it...
"Excuse me, Seishin-San?"
"What is it Orwin?"
No honorifics for me huh?
"I was wondering about something and I hope that you can help me with it..."
"Come on, get to the point already!"
I really don't like this girl, her character is all over the place and it's like she has multiple personalities...
"You still haven't answered me about how I got here... And all I can remember is getting hit very badly by something ... Can you tell me what happened?"
"Hahahaha"
she started laughing again!!!! -_-
"It's really silly actually! During practice I accidentally hit you with my sword at full power, guess I should have paid attention to the surroundings, it's impressive that you didn't die!"
This f*cking.....not only she almost killed me, she even finds it funny?!?! She doesn't look even a little bit apologetic towards me!!! This one is definitely bad news! I should keep distance from her....
I've followed her around the bridges for about half an hour before she suddenly stopped in front of the bridge leading to the biggest tree. It looked like she was thinking for a while before she finally reached out her hand and started searching for something in a little bag, tied to her waist. After a minute or two she looked like she finally found what she was looking for, and pulled out something from her bag.
The thing she pulled out was my hoodie! I don't know if hoodies are also existent in this world, but the white base with red hood and sleeves hoodie that she was holding was definitely mine!
But wait....how did she store my hoodie inside this tiny bag? And the fact that it took her a few minutes to find it inside in the first place is already quite weird.
"Seishin-San...could this possibly be a dimensional storage bag?"
"How come you always ask the stupidest things? Of course it's a dimensional storage bag! Not everyone has their own personal dimensions you know! It's a necessity now days!" She frowned at me while looking at me with pity as if I'm the dumbest person she ever seen.
I really can't stand her! How could I possibly know that, when less than two days ago I lived in a world without magic?!
But I can't say anything because I don't want her to know that I'm from another world.
She handed me the hoodie and said: (Britishly)
"We'll come on then! We haven't got all day! You can't meet the Chief wearing underclothes only!"
Does this mean that I have been walking in underclothes only all this time?!?! How come she haven't said a thing till now?
I quickly grabbed the hoodie and put it on while glaring at her with detest in my eyes.
"What about my pants?" I asked.
"Oh, right! Wait a minute!" She once again started searching her bag until she pulled out my brown pants as well.
Worried that someone might pass by and see me in this state, I snatched the pants from her hands and put it on so quickly I almost lost my balance and fell.
Once I was fully dressed she mumbled "finally!" and lead me down the bridge to a huge door in the tree. At each side of the door stood a strong looking Guard, wearing an armor and a helmet. To my surprise, although they were very masculine in body, their faces were very beautiful and celebrity-like.
Seeing that it was Rei coming towards them with another person, they immediately grasped the situation and opened the doors.
They nodded to us as we walked by and one of them even flushed me a beautiful white smile. I already liked them a lot more than this obnoxious girl next to me.
The area inside of the tree that we entered was a huge wide space where you could easily entertain over 500 people with no lack of space. On the side of the inner walls was a spiral staircase going around them with something like thousands of steps, going until you cannot see them anymore up to the top of the tree.
Standing in front of this long spiral staircase inside of this massively humongous tree, Rei came to a stop again.
"On top of this staircase is the village chief privet residence. No one goes inside here without his consent nor leave without it. The chief may look young to you, but do not make the mistake of disrespecting him, or I'll kill you myself, understood? Only answer when you are asked and only then are you to speak. Are we clear about it?"
Taken a back by her sudden serious approach I nodded for conformation.
Seeing that I looked honest she as well nodded to herself in satisfaction and lead me upstairs.
