Chapter 5: About the World
There were 8 people in the wind element mage class. Teacher Su Lin pointed at Wan Fang on the far right and said you start and go down the line.
1 by 1 people called their names "Wan Fang", "Shi Bai", "Shi Jingyi", "Cui Huo", "Xu Tue", "Dong Tai", "Xu Chao", "Tao Bai", "Xu Tue"
There were 4 boys and 4 girls. The teacher wrote down the names on a sheet of paper. Afterward, he opened a laptop on his desk and turned on the projector showing a presentation,
Teacher Su Lin started "Let me start from the beginning, we are currently in the 5 Provinces Continent, there are as the name implies 5 provinces within here, the Azure Wind Province where we reside in, the Silver Mountain Province, the Scarlet Fire Province, the Heavens Sea Province, and the Sundered Earth Province. Each province has a dynasty ruling the province. The 5 Provinces aren't the only continent that exists, to the east is the Elven's Tree Monarchy Continent, to the west is the Merfolk's Divine Sea Continent, to the north is the Barbarian Northern Ice Continent, and the south is the Demon Beast's Forbidden Devil Continent. We have an alliance with the elven and merfolk races against our enemies the Barbarian and Demon beast races. I tell you this because I need you to understand who our enemies are, although we have competition between each other and other Provinces we all unite to fight the barbarian to our north and the demon beast to the south. Now let me explain about being a mage or a knight, currently, you most likely haven't started building mana inside yourself. Mages and knights both use something called cultivation techniques to build the spiritual power of the earth into our bodies. Mages get mana and it gets stored in your spiritual root and meridians, specifically, you will get wind mana stored in your roots, the better the spiritual root, the better quality, and quantity mana gets stored. Similarly, knight get the battle force and it gets stored in their muscles, veins, and meridians in their bodies, the better physique the better quality and quantity battle force the knight will have. Knights have different stages of power Servant Knight, Apprentice Knight, Foundation Knight, Core Knight, Master Knight, Grandmaster Knight, Supreme Knight, Supreme Master Knight, Supreme Grandmaster Knight, Exalted Knight, Exalted Master Knight, Exalted Grandmaster Knight, Heavenly Knight, Heavenly Master Knight, Heavenly Grandmaster Knight, Ascendant Knight, Ascendant Master Knight, Ascendant Grandmaster Knight, Empyrean Knight, Empyrean Master Knight, Empyrean Grandmaster Knight, Pseudo-God Knight, and God Knight. Similarly mages also have different stages of power Acolyte Mage, Apprentice Mage, Foundation Mage, Core Mage, Master Mage, Grandmaster Mage, Supreme Mage, Supreme Master Mage, Supreme Grandmaster Mage, Exalted Mage, Exalted Master Mage, Exalted Grandmaster Mage, Heavenly Mage, Heavenly Master Mage, Heavenly Grandmaster Mage, Ascendant Mage, Ascendant Master Mage, Ascendant Grandmaster Mage, Empyrean Mage, Empyrean Master Mage, Empyrean Grandmaster Mage, Pseudo-God Mage, and God Mage. Wow, saying all that was a mouthful, okay we will now go to the Special Arts Pavillion and get you a proper cultivation technique."
Wan Fang actually didn't need a cultivation technique from the school, he realized he could freely access the special lands he got access in his body. So while exploring the cave where the old man was in, Wan Fang found a jade tablet. When he touched the jade tablet it melted onto Wan Fang's hand and a bunch of information appeared in his head and when he tried understanding it he didn't know what it was for. The technique was called the 8 God Dragon Cultivation Technique, it allowed the person to cultivate in both battle force and mana. Wan Fang realized this and freaked out, this technique was priceless, if he sold this he could get so much money he wouldn't need to move a finger for the rest of his life.
Of course, Wan Fang wouldn't sell it but the technique was extraordinary. He hasn't tried cultivating it just in case the school asked him about how he cultivated and with which technique.
Wan Fang followed behind the teacher and the rest of the students.
After a while, they reached a giant building with the words "Secret Arts Pavillion". Teacher Su Lin brought the students to a desk with the nameplate "Librarian, Shi Shufen".
At first, no one saw anyone at the desk, but suddenly a middle-aged girl peeked over the desk and said: "Hello Teacher Su Lin, are these your Wind Mage students."
Librarian Shi Shufen walked around the desk, she looked normal, had glasses, jeans, a t-shirt that said "Best Librarian" the only thing weird was that she was shorter than all the 10-year-olds here.
Teacher Su Lin nodded and led the students to the library's secret arts center. On the way to the cultivation techniques, the students gasped at the number of books that were in the general library. The general library holds information about the world, races, mages and knights, continents, and famous people. These texts towered the entire 3 story building.
Teacher Su Lin and the students walked up to a small doorway in the top left corner of the general library. He placed his badge on the door and it flew open with a gust of wind blowing on the students face.
Walking into the Secret arts pavillion which was hidden under the general library, it was more desolate and there weren't books on top of books like outside, but that didn't matter because these were cultivation techniques, mage spells, and martial arts that only academy's and powerful clans can get access too.
Wan Fang and the rest of the students gawked at all the sacred texts in here, Teacher Su Lin looked annoyed as he said: "Close your mouths, pick up the Wind Mage class textbook with the Basic Grass Wind cultivation technique and let's leave."
The teacher was pointing to a bin with newly printed books completely different from the scrolls that surround them. The students gave a disappointed look as they thought they would get access to the sacred scrolls.
Teacher Su Lin saw this disappointment and laughed "You guys haven't even started your mage journey and you think you will get access to the books, you wish."
Everyone picked up the textbook, inside the textbook was the overview that Teacher Su Lin gave but with more explanations, at the back of the textbook was the copy of the Basic Grass Wind cultivation technique with pictures and detailed explanations of how to do the technique.
Wan Fang had the most powerful cultivation technique, so he wasn't as disappointed as the other students, but the textbook was very useful because right now everything is prepped for him to become the most powerful person, except his knowledge is very bad. He lived in a small orphanage with little education from primary school(aka elementary school), so the textbook giving all this knowledge would really help him.
They left the Secret Arts Pavillion and as they walked out Wan Fang asked Teacher Su Lin "Teacher, can I check out a book and come back to class?"
Teacher Su Lin responded, "Sure, come back fast, or else I will count you absent."
Wan Fang watched his class disappear from the entrance and went towards Librarian Shi Shufen.
The librarian felt someone walking near-by and her head peaked from the desk, "You are one of Teacher Su Lin's students, what would you like?"
Wan Fang asked her "Do you have any books about, Ancient Constitutions?"
Wan Fang was really curious about this as he heard a kid talk about at the Kunming Academy tryouts and the old man he meet during his awakening also said he had the Ancient Constitution, 8 God Dragon Constitution.
The librarian looked surprised and walked towards a shelf, using the step ladder that was near-by she, reached and grabbed a book that looked like it hasn't been taken out in a long time.
She gave the book to Wan Fang and said: "Give me your name and I will check this book to you."
After giving his name and class, he walked out towards class. Using his hand he wiped off the dust from the cover and the name was revealed: "Ancient Constitutions and Ancient Clans".
