Chapter 3: Vampire Princes
Lights from the lamp shade woke up the sleeping beauty. Seal adjusted her eyesight to cope with the light. Aside from the lampshade, the room was filled with dark. This room is familiar to her. She thought that she saw it once before but couldn't remember.
And the she felt something warm and heavy tightly hugging her. She looked at someone beside her. On an ordinary scene, the girl would scream but Seal is too occupied by her sudden adoration of the handsome face to be scared.
Long lashes, cute cheeks, melanin skin, kissable lips and cute little nose. What a handsome view. And then she thought why she is here.
Memories of last night came in flashback. She suddenly remembered how she got drunk and went to the dark. She didn't remember what the guy beside her said or anything after that other than the memory where the prince looking guy beside her bit her neck. Her body stiffened. She didn't feel any pain anymore but did he really but her?
'He doesn't look like someone who will hurt me,' she told herself as if trying to convince her. But the other part of her said 'Still, you don't know him.'
With her trembling hands, she touched the part where the guy bit her and she felt two tiny rough circles. And when she realized what had happened, she screamed really loud.
The screamed awakened the whole Osiris castle and even the sleeping soundly Song brothers shot their eyes open. Using their abilities, they quickly followed where the sound was coming. They met each other at the door of their fourth brother. Everyone had a weird look on their face.
'Why would there be a scream on fourth brother's room?' Peirce asked.
Quintus showed his evil smile and said, 'Looks like someone brought a girl.'
They opened the door of their fourth brother's room and saw their hideous and silentfourth brother preventing the girl from screaming using his kiss. For someone who is silent, Ocean is a wild one.
The other brothers' jaw dropped at the scene except for Quintus that smiled so wickedly. And then they realized, they're not the only ones who's awake. The King and Queen is already witnessing how their fourth son kisses the first human girl he brought to the castle. Pierce wanted to throw a blanket to cover the crime of Ocean but the King began to speak.
"Ocean, what the hell did you do?!" King Io's voice boomed the room.
And as fast as the lightning, Ocean stopped kissing his girl and almost tripped on the blankets just to bow to his father. Aside from the happiness and the lust that he felt, he also feel the anger of his parents at the scene.
Hearing King Io's voice, Seal came back to her senses. She looked at the man with eyebrows on one line and that didn't helped her calm. King Io's presence is very intimidating. Looking at the guy they called Ocean, kneeling in front of the king, gave her more chills.
Queen Jia looked at the scared girl that her fourth son brought. Queen Jia knew her son. He's a reckless prince and loves to play with girls but still, he kept his distance with them. He never make such a decision that will make his father mad. This is the first time so she thought that maybe, he had a reason. Typical understanding queen.
She approached the scared girl and held her trembling hands. Seal looked at the beautiful woman to held her. Somehow her fear lessened but she still cried in her arms.
"Madame, I'm scared," Seal cried like a child in the arms of the woman. Queen Jia was shocked with the sudden move of Seal but still, she comfort her and whispered. The Queen never got the chance to have a princess and the Seal just melted her heary.
"Everything's going to be alright," Queen Jia said even if she is not sure of that statement. She knows that for a moment, something terrible might happen.
Meanwhile, Ocean froze on his spot when he heard what his girl just said.
He can't believe that he just scared his girl. A thump make his heart ache. His brothers looked at him with pity.
Silence filled the room, even the King didn't speak and just watched the Queen as she comfort the girl. His eyes softened at the sight and then remembered his son's recklessness.
When Seal stopped crying, she fell asleep in the Queen's arms. Queen Jia laid her on her fourth son's bed. She can hear what her husband is saying to his beloved son. She sighed and wanted to console her son but he must know the consequences of his actions.
"You knew what you brought to this world, don't you?" King Io asked Ocean. Even the other brothers can feel the anger of their father.
"Yes father," Ocean answered. "And you also knew the consequences that you will face?" the king inquired.
"I pity the girl because she doesn't know what she will be facing in this world. And I decided that you will stay away from that girl," King Io finally said.
Ocean shot his eyes up to his father. He can take the punishment but he will not make it if Seal will be taken from him.
"But Dad, I brought her here. Isn't she my responsibility?" Ocean asked his father.
"She is but after what I saw earlier, she will be dangerous with you. If we haven't come here, you might have killed her. She is such a beauty and I can't blame you if you liked her but she's a human, my son. We aren't for humans," King Io said. Something in his voice is telling him to let Seal go. But Ocean can't. They may be different but she is special for him.
"But she is for me," Ocean said sadly.
Both his parents and brothers got shocked because of his reaction. Ocean never showed reaction nor affection towards anyone. Aside from his parents, he never have sympathy towards the other people.
'Looks like he really like the human girl,' King Io thought.
"Well then. You have to face the council tomorrow and be heard. You will get your punishment whether you like it or not," the King firmly said, facing his back at his son. Ocean just nodded.
"Quintus, bring the girl in the guest room," King Io ordered his fifth son.
"But father," Ocean complaint. He can't bare to let anyone touch Seal.
"No, you stay away from the human girl. I'm going to decide whether you take her or not. So Quintus, bring the girl to the guest room. Don't you dare to disobey me fourth son," King said.
Quintus came to get Seal's body but before he touched here. Ocean shot him with his fiery death glare. Contrary to his name was his reaction.
"Never do anything to my girl," Ocean told him before he carried Seal out of the room.
A mischievous smile invade Quintus' lips. 'He must've fallen to the human girl. Good luck brother.'
