Chapter 2: C2. Promises And Plans.

The Queen gasped and grabbed a chair dramatically and pretends to choke, "So your aim is to just rip my heart right out, throw it on the ground and kill me". Adrina sighed and looked at her mum with a neutral expression, "can you please not act like a drama queen for once, because of you my nicknames at the witch academy is ice princess, the devil bitch, heartless wrench I could go on". The Queen sat down in front of her daughter not as a subject but as a mum worried about her daughter, "The real world is a lot different from this place, there is a reason why we have trials, they are not easy there have been countless witches that have died from these trials cause they weren't strong enough. If you go out there not prepared for the absolute worse Adrina you will die. That's how this world works, we aren't a popular bunch, most of the spells you learn straight away is defensive ones". Adrina searched her mums eyes and realised that pure fear was in her eyes she wanted her to live. "Fine I'll do the trials tomorrow night. I'm not scared, I know I will succeed mum so don't worry about me. I'll do the trials and I'll prove to you that I will live. Then can I leave?". The Queen laughed and patted her stubborn daughter on the back, "If you live Adrina you can do whatever you like for a year". Adrina smiled and left the room, the Queen was far from reassured and was even more uneasy knowing Adrina herself picked the day of her trials. Her mum got to work with a strategy plan for Adrina and a strict practice plan with her personal trial tutor at school.
