Chapter 13: Family is family
Sophie awkwardly answer her call.
"Didn't I tell you to join me tonight?"
"Hello, brother."
"You still haven't answer me. Why aren't you answering me?"
" "
"Sophie?"
"Brother, I can't make it tonight. Rain check?"
"Clear weather forecast tonight. So, you are coming with me."
"..why are you so damn in bringing me tonight? Don't tell me mom asked you. If so, I definitely won't be there!"
"No, mom isn't free tonight. That is why I called you."
"Bro, you do realise your 27 this year right?"
"Your point is?"
"Shouldn't you find a suitable lady as your partner? Instead of bringing me, your beautiful successful sister as partner?"
The sudden realisation hit Sophie hard, she grinned like an idiot. The silent paused irked Joseph much.
"What the heck were you thinking about, Sophie?"
"Bro, I finally know why you ask me to accompany you tonight. Since I'm your sister, family always come first. Family is family. Whoever you choose will always be apart of our family, whether I will be having big sister or big brother."

"If this is your way in getting out tonight, its working. I'll be seeing you on weekend instead. Call mom. Bye."

'What did I say wrong?'

Stunted by the engaged dial, Sophie released a soft chuckle while gathered her things, then walked out the meeting room.
"Prepare the car. I'm heading out. You can leave afterwards, Eve. Thank you."
Speaking towards Eve at her right side, Sophie walked out towards her private elevator down to her parking space. Driving out her custom made metallic blue with white silvery chrome Lexus car, Sophie headed out to Ueno.
Putting on her PLANTRONICS bluetooth, she make a call to unknown number, briefly mentioning a place and time, then ended the call without waiting for the recipient to reply or response. Sophie then switch on the radio as she drive to the meeting point.
